Right now Salty is.....

I hope you're feeling better today, Al. The flu AND a bronchial infection? That's rough. But Salty likely understands. They're MUCH better with body language than we are.

Thanks people. Feeling a bit better today. I did give Salty a few pine nuts, for "free", he just loves them. He made us laugh really hard last night, he is at his loudest while Geri is prepping dinner (because he knows his is coming too) and at one point he just seemed to loosing his mind, rolling his head around and screaming like a wild banshee, not for long, and we both cracked up. Maybe laughter IS the best medicine, and he knows that?

So sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather my friend  People like us ( old farts, and ESPECIALLY with heart problems) are at greater risk for the flu and respitory problems! My immune system was always very good. Rarely did I catch a cold or get a flu and I never got a flu shot, the last time when my doc kind of pushed the idea,I got a shot, and within a few day's,guess what? YEP! I got the flu! After my last coronary incident I gave in and got the shot (a couple months ago) I hope you can convince Geri to get one also.
We all know Salts will forgive you, they always do! Maybe get the stink eye..lol.
Get well soon buddy!!!

Jim

Good to hear you are feeling better...it must be that Salty laughter that took effect...best medicine you can get :)

Yeah, Al, baybee, get better...
You're such a paragon of stalwartness. I admire you so. Salty's a lucky by and kniws it (although he may not admit it!).

Hey, Birdigirl! Good to hear from ya!

Feel better soon, my friend.

So happy - Salty did the pool table trick right for the first time! Sunk that ball right into the corner pocket.
That and I am feeling a bit better today/

I'll have to try and teach Amy how to hold a cue. Maybe next playdate they can have a round of eight ball? :18:..or do we call it eight pine nuts?;)

That would be something to watch Amy and Salty play pool, hee hee what a Great video that would make, it would go viral for sure LoL :)
Good to hear you are feeling better Al, and well done Salty, you are Pro :)

Oh so glad you feel better! And I think you are the number one trick trainer! Or you got real lucky with Salty!!!

I think I did get lucjy for sure. He is so eager to learn new stuff !

And another cue ball in the corner pocket tonight !! LOL,Geri and I cheered so loudly, we scared the lil guy a bit. I figure that after 10 or so successful shots we will start learning the use of the pool cue stick. Look out https://wpapool.com/world-champions/ HERE WE COME !!

Whoopee ! The eightball in the corner pocket, and the 7 ball in the side. He is def catching on. Salty is now not afraid of the lttle parrot figurines too. He is such a trooper when Daddy asks him to do stuff that is unfamiliar. He's been so mellow lately, especially since he is in the middle of a molt. Last time he got kinda crabby.

Go Salty! Such a quick learner!

Just a quick pic from tonight, Salty helping my son wash dishes.

Nice! I see Salty is that over-your-shoulder type of supervisor! Though if he's anything like my birds, he has come to associate washing dishes with the prep of his dinner. Observant little fiends, eh?

That guy always has a smile on his beak :D

Actually dinner prep time is the only time of day that Salty gets loud. Loud for him that is; he's very quiet Amazon. Loud for him isa lot of laughing, singing and yes amazon caterwauling. Its more funny than annoying .
