Yipes! Salty said his first swear last night. Out of the blue - "Damn It". Nice an clear and forceful too. We gotta clean up the household chatter !

Question is, was it in context? Just what were you doing to trigger so clear and forceful an exclamation, Al? Lol!

he put the treats away! Or maybe brought out a dreaded thing Salty doesn't like.

I dread to think of the motor mouth a clear speaker like an Amazon would get in my company for an extended period of time :33: (online video games can be very stressful)

Nothing ! Salty was just doing his nightly Amazon sound explosion. Laughs, phrases, singing, squacks, and "Damn It" !

Well Al...lets just hope Salty doesn't get to the point Jonesy did.."you're !@#$%^ me! you're !@#$%! The more I complained the louder he got lol

Whoa ! Apparently Salty hates, with all the full blown hate that an Amazon can raise, my youngest son, Bre**. They never really had much interaction, and my son moved out in January, so he is not here much.Tonight he came over during trick training time, and as soon as he walked in Salty grew twice his normal size, eyes pinning in and out like a camera lens in aTarantino film, and his tail feathers spread out like a senioritta's fan. Come to think of it, he was walking back and forth doing the above, and crouch low, ready to pounce if Bre** came too close. Classic Amazon body language. But Salty is much too sweet in his nature to go that last step the hot 3 might have taken....ATTACK!!! Salty calmed down when he left the room and we finished his training, but like........really?

I know that "walk about,flash/glare..crouch/poofiness all too well Al..yessiree..typical Aminalzon stance  As sweet as Salty Boy is...you'll never be able to pass him off as anything BUT an Amazon :D
But why would you anyway?? He's such a sweetheart lol.

Our BFA did all that, while pacing the perimeter of the cage top with the upper part of his beak firmly pressed into the wood. SCRAAAAPE. SCRAAAAPE. It was like he was in some kind of trance.

I think Salty's family should replace the Kardashians... much more entertaining!

Hey I love Salty and Al as much as the next person but isn't there room for both? I'm a huge admirer of Kim and I love Kanye's music and fasion line! Both Ollie and even my baby brat Fin usually behave if KUWTK is on. Don't hate! Haha

So I was away this weekend at a gig in Maryland. I did my usual in letting Salty know we would be gone for 2 days ( holding up 2 fingers). When I am gone, my wife ,Geri, does the nightly trick training sessions. Saturday nights session had a balky Salty refusing some tricks. And at one point, he turned , looked at Geri and said "Daddeeee" in the most plaintive voice. She broke down and teared up a bit, but bravely continued on.

Salty does say this when I get home (" Hi Daddy"), and once in awhile when I am home, but not in the room with him ( more likely to use our contact call ). This is the first time he used it in context more or less.

It really amazes me at times what these creatures come out with..at the right ( or sometime un-right  times)!

LOL, Geri tells me that he will go on "Daddeeee" jags, calling forme. These usually occur right before I get home from work. I tell you, Salty has a freaking clock built into him. This and God forbid I am late with the training session. He lets everyone know.
