OMG..that bird is beautiful!! I would be cuddling him and singing to him and feeding him and cuddling him and then I would be cuddling him some more. I cannot resist baby parrots. What a good job you are doing with this baby!!

Jakes is doing great on day 66. He is really starting to develop a personality.

Thanks. There are other Catablue Macaws as we have googled them several weeks ago wondering what he would look like and found a few breeders. The thing is, they vary quite a bit which kind of makes each one unique in their own way.

Jake is over 850 grams as of today and has out grown his current room. So, I made him a bigger one that should last him for a while. He now has room to romp around and space for more toys.

Wow, he has really made some progress, I haven't been on for a few days. He is looking great. It is nice to hear his sounds & see his beak darkening up & see him moving around now & flapping his wings!! Keep up the great work!!

Jake has shown signs that he is ready to start the weaning process at the early age of 74 days. We put some veggies in there so he could start the exploring process but he has decide that he would skip that part and start chowing down instead!! We are so proud for him and hope he continues to excel. He is such a cutie pie. He has really developed a strong personality and is doing great on his vocal communications.

We weighed the food before and after he ate, 30+ grams consumed, not bad. We put a water bowl and perch in Jakes room after he ate his first meal by himself for the first time.
