Next is Tony! He was by far the most mentally challenging bird I rescued! We showed up at the persons house (a full time working nurse!) Small cage, basically a travel cage, a dowel and a cloth toy.
He was fed roudybush pellets mostly, those pellets really negatively affected his mood.
He screamed non stop even while he was eating, he was poorly clipped, he wouldnāt step up for anything, and his hormones raged!
I thought adopting him was a mistake honestly, and that I just wasnāt cut out for this
But behold! I made progress! Little by little! And now heās just wonderful, itās been nearly 2 years, but it was so worth it.
Now heās mostly quiet, now that heās on a healthy diet, loves playing, especially with soft wood, and steps up no problem. Still working on flight confidence but weāll get there!
