Horrifyingly so!
There's a real lunacy afoot as people want ever-hotter peppers. Habanero used to be the hottest, then the ghost, but researchers keep genetically modifying and selectively breeding for hotter. The Scoville units are measured through chemical analysis, so I presume they're very accurate.
I doubt that any human being could accurately figure it by taste!

So i have both these varieties growing in my garden. Malawi peppers are HOT. Maybe RB needs an exotic variety...

Yesssssss, Mr. Boat, the Rb never met a pepper he didn't like. I do sometimes bring home assorted ones.
