The Rickeybird Scrapbook, 1984 - Updates

Don't feel alone, Mr. Rival. I'd let MrC die in a fire while I rescue the parrots first. I might help the kid who uses a wheelchair, but the other two kids are on their own.

Rickeybird Scrapbook VIDEO Update
August 10, 2016

As some of you know, my ol' man and my parrot are rivals. They truly dislike each other, and have ever since the former intruded on the latter's relationship with me.
Here we have the Rickeybird (who has a real knack for names) yelling "Kirby!". I can't resist egging him on. The target of our acoustic assault was in his office, ignoring us.
No matter. We know he were heard just fine!
Just click!

Here's something for the scrapbook, a beautiful sight, absence of Rickey.

The Rickeybird Scrapbook
August 12, 2016

This is not part of the physical scrapbook on the coffee-table, but his online version of the scrapbook HAS to include a view of the astounding wild birds, breeding in their high burrows in limestone cliffs in Patagonia).

This entry is dedicated to his rival, my ol' man, who doesn't like it when the RB screams his name (above video). My dear, just imagine that you and I are walking on this beach and a few zillion Rickeybirds are overhead calling JUST TO YOU!!!!!
No fair covering your ears...

At the time of that movie and book I had my Mitred Conure , Bing (or Bing-a-ling, Bing-dong,BingBing)
The movie is about wuld Cherry Heads in San Francisco. Needless to say, I was OBSESSED. My best friend took me for my birthday, from South Texas to San Francisco. .. not a parrot in sight. Hahaha
Crossing the border here into mexico there are wild parrots everywhere. In the grass, and trees. I don't know if they are conures, they look Amazon-ish. I love it.

YES, Cheryl, I HAVE seen that movie... Connor the Blue-Crowned Conure... his story is forever with me. It was a great film, and I'm glad I watched it, but I could never watch again... too sad I parts. I do recommend it. Thanks for mentioning it here.

Yeah, Mexico's climate is escapee-friendly. I don't think there are any native parrots until Central America or thereabouts. But the wild ones seem to breed and survive pretty well in a lot of areas.

Thanks for your posts!

Mr. Rival... you are stooping to the birds level... he wanted to buy YOU a one-way to Rio.

Cheryl... I KNOW you are right. The bird loves me. Love transcends geography. And rivals.
