The Rickeybird Scrapbook, 1984 - Updates

Hmmm,

A quick list or a reference driven collection of controlled assured survival.

Yaa, quick list:
Beer,
TP,
Beer,
TP,
popcorn,
Beer,
other stuff as your leaving and just grab...
Oops Rum, okay, more Rum.
Remember to close and lock the door, :D

Make mine all whiskey and hold the popcorn, Doc says I can't have popcorn anymore:D

And in related news...

Oh, Rickeybird!

So I can see a whole new subculture emerging............................. grown men getting giant cardboard boxes and hiding out inside after putting up signs that say "ROOSTER QUARANTINE - DEPOSIT WHISKEY/COLD ONES/ETC. AND THEN GO 'WAY!"

Well, actually..........................
Wait a minute now..................................
If you could get WiFi in there, and maybe a nice lil sleepin' bag...................

Okay, if I told y'all that my ol' man is in the middle of the livingroom floor, sitting in the big cardboard box that held our brand new freezer... and writing signs... would you believe me???

Okay, I made it up!

Dang, that popcorn picture never gets old...

For those of you who are new, my ol' man is "The Rival of the Rickeybird" (who posts here all the time). He is the... well... the Rival of the Rickeybird!

Dawn, you had been well on your way to having me fully believing that story!!! After all, its difficult not to find the inside of a full-size freezer box of great interest! The possibilities -- endless!

And then the site went down for an agonizing day. I was starting to wonder if you roosters had broken the forums!

What are you eluding to? Just cause I had a few tools, plus my handy multitool doesn't mean anything... From my count, there's nothing out of order on this 'specific' Thread. Right? :D

Well, now, let's see what I can do about that...

----------------------------------------------------------

Let's hear it for... the BIRD!
The Rickeybird, that is.
36 years ago TODAY (May 5th, Cinco de Mayo) the bird was hatched near Albuquerque, New Mexico. A few months later, I took him home with me. I was in college at the time, and I'm now retired. We have been through a lot, and he has been a constant for all those years. Wonderful years.
Of noise, assaults, thievery, menacing, property destruction, food-throwing... you know, all those things that make the Rickeybird... the Rickeybird!
This is our song. Like him, it's from 1984.
Everybody... let's hear it for the...

***CUE THAT BASS!***

Happy Hatchday!

Happy Hatchin' Day RB! To the #1 celebrity on ParrotForums !

Thank you, my dearest, dearest, dearest, dearest, dearest, dearest Rival, Terrio, Saxxx, Rozzz, Lea, Wrenchie, and everybody in general! The Rb would thank you himself but he's too busy sleeping off the green chiles. As some of you know, I usually celebrate his hatchday by tossing him a fresh green pepper every hour or so... well, maybe more like every FEW hours. Anyway, it was a nice day amidst all the virus hunkering and fretting and tv-news-binge-watching. Thanks, Parrot Forums!

"Happy Mother's Day!
Sincerely,
The Rickeybird
(P.S. Not no bites nor screams nor nuthin just happymothersday an found you some flowers too an here ya go!
See, I not so bad as they say!)"

Happy Mother's Day, all you Parront Forums Moms!

Rickeybird, our great regrets on missing your Hatch Day as the Boats' household was all busy monitoring the old guy during surgery. Rumor has it that Julio was watching a live feed of the Rickeybird house so at least one member was up to date of the fun!!!

Congratulations Rickeybird!!! Some would see 36 years as a flash in time, but at the Rickeybird household its all Rickeybird, all the time! Seemingly in slow motion

Cheers Your Way Rickeybird...

Planet Rickeybird thanks Planet Julio for the good wishes!

Oh, and... Happy Mother's Day to Mrs. Boats, and Happy Recuperation to YOU, Boatsie!

Sometimes people ask me how I know when it's time to channel the Rickeybird in order to receive another message to pass along to Scrapbook readers.

Welllllllllllllllllllll...

I'm usually just minding my own business, enjoying The Parrot Forums on my laptop, when I am suddenly aware of a beady little eyeball settling on me...

That's one dramatic Patagonian you have there. Turns out that this is a well-documented phenomenon in Nature.
