Really fun to see all the fascinating stuff. I appreciate everybody's contributions.
I am also a Son of the Republic of Texas, and the missus is also a Native.
We're just displaced in Yankee Land (I'm still not sure how that happened)

I am going to take up a collection to send the Rickeybird to tour this Super 8. A one-way ticket should be fine................... I don't want him to feel pressured to return before he has really soaked in the local color. Start packing, Bird.

Speaking of hermit years gone by, this early photo is a pretty hermit-y vision. The Rickeybird loved to go to our backyard in New Mexico and look down on his foothills kingdom while claiming his sizeable hen...

This is one of my ol' man's favorite photos. He actually Photoshopped it himself a few years ago. If he were here tonight, I know he'd be posting it, along with his usual caption:
"The Rickeybird will be wearing a costume. Oh wait, he doesn't need one."
