Scrapbook update... the Bird is doing well, having correctly predicted 3 out of 3 games so far. Also, you can see from the whiny and disrespectful lament above (quoted from the thread) that the Rickeybird has employed his usual strategic genius to ensure that he will be a winner no matter what! Thus he is already effortlessly transcendent and victorious over his Rival.
What a great moment to re-post this classic video, in which the Bird taunts hapless Kirby (the real name of the Rival, and my ol' man, as many of you know). Hopefully, the Rickeybird will offer a live performance when Kirby's buddies come over to watch the game.

Well, if any of you are still following the Bird's obnoxious sports predictions, he is now something like a perfect 8 out of 8, maybe 9. He has predicted that my extreme underdog Cleveland Browns will beat the Super Team Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Yeah. His hen, (my wife) is teasing me heartlessly with the idea that the Bird is tricking me into hope, the better to break my heart when the Browns lose. Sadly, she told my buddies' wives, and the guys are falling prey to this. They are all excited. IT'S JUST A STUPID BIRD TRICK, I tell them. Nooooo, they say, you never know, don't be so negative! Sunday, 29th at 1 EST. Watch party at my buddy Jack's place. Kill me now.

I check in on this colony now and then.

Here's a 2019 update on the fabulous colony of wild Rickeybirds in Argentina. It's world-famous among Naturalists and bird watchers for the size (35,000 nests) and accessibility (travelers can walk the beach). There is a wonderful presentation of the place at this site. Just click on the big picture on the right and then click on the right-arrow for an amazing tour, with photos ranging from impressive wide range views to heart-warming (to me, at least!) close-ups of nests.

The whole thing just takes my breath away.
