Ruby said, "Whatcha doin'?" yesterday!
I've decided that I want to teach her Jaberwocky. She and I have a good 40 years to work on it. We're starting at the top...
'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe.....
Nope, it's from Through the Looking Glass. Lewis Carrol wrote it with about 50% nonsense words. I used to know the whole thing, but now I have to look it up.
Beware the Jaberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the teeth that catch
Beware the jub-jub bird and shun
The Evil Bandersnatch!
I also used to know the Walrus and the Carpetner from start to finish.
I just want Abby to learn Hello and I love you.. LOL.... BABY STEPS for us..
I just want to give him big hugs because he is just the best birdie. Looks like he is outside here. Love his singing.
I have used these same techniques to teach my AG new words with the same success. My only problem is she only says her words when in the cage or sitting on top wanting attention. I want her to sit on my arm or lap and talk on command but she wont say a word..... maybe in time
mine only talk when we are out of the room , but they are slowly starting say few things when were there
Talking would be a plus, but my main objective is to get my Senegal Tiki to enjoy spending time with me as much as I love spending time with him. It's been 3 weeks to date since I got him and he is now a year old. I spend hours each day with him from morning till night and he seems to really like spending time with me. But only after the first week, which was a little strange for him being in a new house with strange people.
He is starting to talk more and whistle more when we are in the room with him, mainly when we are talking between ourselves and ignoring him. I guess it's his way of getting in on the conversation. Tiki will also start talking if I'm on the phone as well.
Luv the feather fluffing. He sure seems to enjoy talkimg!
We all enjoy listening to him. Hey Rosie just said a new words. She just said Hi Honey for the first time.
