Wonderful advice!!! Ugh my Penny won't tolerate be covered, I think in her previous home this was done as punishment for screaming or just neglected to take off...if I cover her she starts screaming and pulling out her feathers with her feet....it's just terrible...I would slowly adjust the bed and waking time for your flock, and use a dark almost light proof cover. We have 2 , a summer and a winter one, diff weights of cloth. Try adjusting by 10 minutes a day, maybe even less. It is a joy to be able to sleep in, and it gives you more evening time to spend with your birds.
