No and Im still being given the eye...he trusted me to walk into the bathroom with him perched on my hand I suppose now that hes found out what happens in there he wont want to do that tour again in a hurry hee hee

I think Im forgiven for yesterdays shower but maybe not...however its more likely Mr Biggles is a little hormonal or perhaps just testing to see what would happen but when I went to shake hands with him in his cage this morning after his breakfast (we have this ritual several times a day where I go to his cage or whereever he happens to be perched and shake hands and have a short conversation) anyway for what ever reason he was in nip the finger mode... I could see him sneakily coming with the beak and I knew by the look of him that a bite is on its way so I quickly withdraw my finger and the treat he was about to get too (a bit of birdie fruit n veggie cookie)just in the nick of time to avoid his snapping beak. I went into the next room waited about 5 mins and then returned to Mr Biggles who was holding his little fist up to shake hands with me without me even asking, of course he discovered that being nippy a few minutes earlier had lost him his cookie so he obviously wasnt about to repeat that mistake and let me pass him by without giving him the cookie this time ...hee hee what a character I have to say that on the whole he's quiete good and doesnt often try to nip usually he is pretty good so I cant complain.

Mr Biggles went for his first propper shower today in the bathroom needless to say he was not overly impressed by the experience but it was way better than his reaction the first time I misted him...he shook hands with me for a peanut afterwards so I think Im forgiven LoL

Do ya think Jim I think hes still punishing me for it today or at least he thought he might until he saw he was on the losing end and the treats walked with me...he changed his tune after that and decided to be good for treats Almost forgot to say did you notice that he must be admiring BB's crest and it looks like he is styling his own hair in a similar fashion after his shower LoL

We added a new veggie to our diet today...after ignoring the butternut squash for months now suddenly today it was picked up in the little fist and examined closely and then sampled...obviously it must have tasted good because he immediately took a second bite...it just goes to show you no one should ever give up on offering veggies to a parrot...we are coming on, we now have a few veggies on the menu ... between carrot and sugar snap peas and a bit of apple and now butternut squash our Mr Biggles is expanding his palette The other veggies he gets in cookie or bread form using banana instead of flour so its all veg and fruit he gets...Sssh dont tell Mr Biggles about the hidden veggies in the cookies and bread we wouldnt want him knowing I con him into eating fruit and veggies

Hahaha! Nice! Trickery and subterfuge are some of the best tools we have when it comes to getting our fids to eat healthy.

Mr. Biggles sure doesn't look happy about a bath, but I'm sure he was gorgeous after! Wait, I'm not sure he could get any more handsome .

Raven and Griffin will eat the butternut squash if they're in the mood for it.

Thanks RavensGryf The wicked shower was followed by a whole day of nippiness and watching my fingers in case chunks of them might be sampled with the veggies...lets hope my little vampire has calmed down today...morning so far has been okay so maybe hes back to normal and Im forgiven
Yes Anansi he gets tricked quiet alot poor fella some tricks I get away with others like being tricked into the shower I pay for as yesterday he wanted a pound of flesh for every drop of shower water that fell on his precious feathers but again he got bribed at the sight of a peanut walking away from him when he was nippy...smart boy stopped nipping to get his peanut LoL or just maybe its Mr Biggles who's playing tricks with me

Mr Biggles is beginning to chew toys...not really much effort put into it yet but I can see where he has been chewing on a few corners of the toys. I better order some more to have them at the ready for when he gets into chewing them for real the little toys he has wont last long. We have been doing some more work on colours and 9 times out of 10 he gets his yellow and red correct. The red is the one he has made a couple of mistakes on but he usually gets it right...hes very good at knowing yellow and I have started asking him for the green ball because its the only one left. My next step will be to start mixing them up so the colours are not always in the same place ...he doesnt like the camera...sometimes I am able to sneak the camera in and he doesnt know its on but he saw it here and didnt like it at all hee hee but he did okay

He is still only fully sure of the yellow but hes getting there with the red and beginning to recognise it...I think I confused him when I asked for the green ball as he is not used of being asked for that one but it was the only colour left so he couldnt make a mistake hee hee

Well I got a new Sister called Elsa Budgie and she gets away with everything so I need to keep a close eye on my toys in case she steals them

Good job with the color recognition, Mr Biggles is getting it. I love how gentle he is when picking the colored balls up. Not at all like Salty who is frenetic to get the next ring (so he gets the next treat). I love the first pic above, he really does look skeptical. You could say I am a Mr. BIGGS fan

Thanks wrench13 and Im a Big Salty Fan too I think Salty is Super and he gives it his all...an Adorable boy.

Mr Biggles hasnt quiet mastered the colours yet he knows the yellow ball where ever I put it but he can mix up the red and green balls the odd time and pick up the wrong colour. The video didnt show that
He is pretty gentle for an Amazon or maybe I havent seen him in action yet as the info I have googled say they can sometimes turn on their handlers but so far he has been the perfect Gentleman

I bought a childrens ring game for Mr Biggles today but it was viewed as a suspicious package and rejected out of hand...whoooo such wingflapping so we found a spot a safe spot far enough awsy from his cage where he can keep an eye on it for a few days before we try again hee hee
