How many words does yours know. Sorry to hear he didn't make it.
Thanks at least I tried. I am just disappointed that they are comparing him to Alex. It was a completely different category.
Alex was only able to say +- 150 words.
Mishka last word count was 1002 words, and has not been updated for 6 months.

Ah, that's a bugger. It's really unfair to compare him to Alex. It's also very sad as well - considering he was never given a "real" name
ALEX - Avian Learning EXperiment.
Will you try again in future; or are they counting Alex's concept of recognising 'objects, concepts, shapes, numbers' etc as a larger vocab count rather than Mishka's?
I think that its not really fair to compare birds and their intelligence. Each bird has such individuality and are exposed to so many different stimuli that it is unfair to compare them. Alex was extraordinary in his ability to learn and his cognitive skills. Mishka is fabulous in his word accumulation and you have done such a great job with him. He is such a wonderful bird.
Oh, goodness! He is adorable!
I love his "Mommy?" right before he asks a question. He's so, so adorable!
So what's so difference from urs and Alex. If yours knows more words he should be n the book
