Kokkie’s crumbs, pieces of a Grey’s story.

Awww I love that title idea! It’s been moved! Let me know if you need help changing the title.
Thank you so much! I changed the title. Kokkie, meanwhile, is wondering why I’m not listening to her insistence for pre-breakfast breakfast.

Personal chef lying down on the job.

Not impressed by staff service today. The chop blend is too bland and the pellets aren’t the right color and the birdie bread is dry.

Yes, I have been studying your efforts. I would normally comment at this moment, but I am very busy enjoying an important nap.

I love that heavy lidded expression on her sleepy face, the way she holds her feet close together or with one landing gear partially tucked up, and with a slight smile of contentment. I wonder if she thinks her new life is a Grey's Dream come true and hesitates to wake up. All with upgraded housing and really nice two-legged silly people waiting to satisfy my every desire!

OMG that face! Total disdain for the staff services provided 🤣🤣🤣

Picture of the day 🐦 satisfied with fresh chop. Last batch was meh. Added some sweet peppers and pineapple to the regular cauliflower, broccoli (no relation to our cute Broccoli in another thread), carrots, and apple. I suppose all monarchs have their down days with their chefs.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppp, she sure is pretty as a picture! 😍

The best treat ever was served today from the kitchen: scrambled eggs. As with most greys, I wonder how much Kokkie actually eats as so much ends up on the floor of her cage. But on the odd occasion she gets scrambled eggs, there’s nothing left. She’s so cheeky now, attituuuude! It’s springtime here South of the equator so it’s time to watch for a bit of cheeky behavior. She used to prolifically lay eggs but so far this year, only 3 eggs. Giving her lots of natural ambient light and good diet has helped I believe. The journey to getting her healthy has been a long one. She still will overpreen her shoulder feathers, but not like she used to. Step by step.

She is styling.
Remember the song in Grumpy old men.
I’m too sexy for my hat, tie, shoes.

Today Kokkie ventured onto her stand and summarily threw the dishes down. Unacceptable offerings! Where is the birdie bread and passionfruit???? We are ashamed of our meagre offerings.

And with extended Wings!! It will be a very lucky day, if an embargoes on kindness in not set into action!

Wow, a few more months and those wings will be fully supportable of flight!!

I hope you are right. She broke the left wing according to former owners and has never flown since then. We practice flapping these days…let’s hope so!

Clearly, it is very difficult to see the telltale signs of a broken wing with general pictures. An X-ray will tell what she is really facing.

I am purely guessing that the wing clip is to keep her from flying, as a single functioning wing can be darn dangerous. May want to think about an X-ray to verify the story.

Yes, sorry didn’t mention, the wing was x-rayed and vet recommended to keep her clipped. I’m just trying to exercise her now. The wing hangs down a bit but she doesn’t favor it that we can tell.

Today, we have come down from our throne to sit with the commoners. See? My Kokkie is an angel, halo and all 😆 her tier of angels are allowed the odd munch on their staff’s hands…
