Bumble-ing Along

Today, Bumble supervised me working from home, flew around the apartment a lot, and investigated using the window as a perch for the first time. Apparently, she wore herself out!

And this second picture because I think her tail feathers are such a beautiful color and I can rarely get a good view of them.

So stinking cute for sure!!! Those featheres look like waves on the ocean! Glad you are feeling better! That cowlick pic is awesome! Never seen anything like that!

When I first got her, I kept wishing the cowlick would go away so she would look “normal.” Now I love them and I’m glad they’re still there. Not always that pronounced but she usually looks at least a little mussed.

Just when you thought Bumble couldn’t get any cuter, she suddenly does.... awwww.....

Bumble is definitely getting cuter, is Inger also getting better?

Inger is on the mend. Recovering is going perfectly. I have none of the pain I had before surgery, and very little pain from the surgical site. Thanks for asking!

Bumble is being a little stinker today! I let her out while I was working and she flitted around, bit me a bunch, acted like she was scared of something on the TV tray I’m using as a desk (all the same stuff that’s been there for the last 10 days and like a foot away from her cage), refused to play on her gym or eat from her food dish-acting like she was scared of those too. I finally gave up and (after a bunch of bites to get her to step up) put her back in her cage. Sheesh.

Possibly related-pin feathers? Or are her horns growing in?

Oh Bumble! Definitely her horns are coming in lol, good thing she’s cute :)

Yup, small evil horns.
Cranky birds all over ...

Are you sure that's the REAL Bum Bum?? Looks aweful grumpy to me!

LeaKP you nailed it again!

Just when you though Bumble would prove to be the exception to the rule!

Sorry you got bitten... maybe you just needed a reminder of who's the real Queen? :)
I'm curious. What's a Bumble-bite like? Kinda like a budgie-bite? I guess you have't been bitten by other parrots, but I still would like a description.

We all love our little Bumble-ina... I nominate this ("Thumbelina") for her theme song.

"Bumble-inaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

You guys are crazy!

And she bites me all the time. Parrotlets are like that. Often it’s just that she gets over-zealous when preening my cuticles, but sometimes she just hauls off and chomps me. It hurts but she’s never broken skin. I can’t compare to a budgie nite personally, but have read it’s worse.

Maybe I’ll go to petsmart and see if they’ll let the budgies snack on me! Haha!

Or! I think Terry our wonderful mod has parrotlets. She can probably give you better comparisons.
