I know! :D Can't wait for next week.. once he hits 6 weeks I'll be offering him some fresh fruits to nibble on/play with and will also start all his harness training etc. I guess you could say we've started that already... He's starting to happily allow me to gently move my hand over his head so his eyes close (for sliding the harness over) and holding up his wings one after the other. So I'm sure by the time he's weaned we'll be able to go out for walks to the park etc. :) Can't wait!

HA! So our daughter walks in saying she wants to see the birdie again, so i hold him for her so she can give him a kiss, then my husband comes in and sits down. Next thing I know Loki (my husband) starts playing with his beak and Mr Pazu starts licking Lokis hand.. Loki was quite clearly having fun so he can't say he doesn't like birds anymore!!!

Pazu also flicks his wings every time he responds to his name. SOOO CUTE!

Looks like Pazu is making quite the compelling case for himself. Nice! Sounds like that was a real family bonding moment!

And I'm loving the colors that he has growing in! He is going to be one gorgeous ekkie!

Quite! :) It was indeed! :p

Thanks! Haha he sure is... wait.. you're just saying that to be nice haha. Pretty sure ALL Eclectus' are gorgeous. ;)

Whether or not they're all gorgeous doesn't change the fact that young Pazu is most certainly headed in that direction. Lol!

Besides, the state of their plumage can vary depending on the diet they're given, as well as the frequency of their baths. So not necessarily a given.

But I do get your point. They do tend to be some beautiful birds.

Lol true!
Also very true! ;)

Well I'm going to try giving Pazu some soaked pellets and fruit, because he's acting like an older bird and not pumping his formula as much as he should (only ate 2/3 of his formula, usually scoffs it all down and wants more) and is moreso attempting to crunch and chew the formula... O.O

I haven't stopped by to visit sweet Pazu in a few days. I just saw several updates and two super sweet videos. He's just precious, and that darling baby voice, it looks like you aren't the only member of your family that's fallen in love with the little guy.

Awww thank you Allee! :) Indeed, Loki was cuddling him again today. >.> lol.

Well, weight gain has slowed down a bit, he seems to be staying around 360-370grams.

I'll add a photo soon. :) Photobucket is being moronic again -_-

My nieces and nephews were visiting this weekend and we had a Pazu update and show and tell. The ones who had seen your pics wanted an update, they were waiting, lol. Kids and their questions, "why are his eyes so big?", "where are his feathers?", "where is his mother?", "why is he so ugly?" . They had me cracking up. A couple of kids had not seen him so we had to catch them up and I rolled through the pictures slowly talking about each one, watched the videos. One wanted to know what color his feathered we're going to be so that bit was the clincher for them all.

This has been a great learning experience to share with them and to learn about my Amazon Buddy. Since I got him they are nervous around him and have questions. Buddy is 24 years old so sharing a hatching with them so they can relate it to Buddy has been great.

The five year old asked why he was ugly when we looked at his first picture. They would look at the picture and look at Buddy trying to figure out why he had no feathers. Got him on board and they all kept asking what color will he be. When we got to the first peek of color I asked them what colors is he and they all yelled "BLUE AND GREEN!". I showed them pics of adults and the first comment, "They look like candy." Then came the discussion about feathers versus hair and fur. We talked about pin feathers, they all surrounded Buddy's cage and I showed them a couple of pins he has coming in. And I forgot, my favorite question was, "Will he be mean and bite like Buddy?" ROTFL! I told them we'd have to wait and see. They also wanted to know if he'd laugh like Buddy, talk like Buddy, be a pig like Buddy. Kids crack me up but I love watching them learn.

Awww that is just TOO cute! :p Hahaha awwww!!! Bahaha yeah they kinda do :p It's the beak! Hahaha awwww, never! ;) Hehe awww thats so adorable! Finally got them interested in Buddy! :D

Those blue feathers!!!! I think I'm slowly melting, those eyes are precious (is it bad that I hope he stays that cute?).

Sweet pic! That's just a few feathers shy of what Bixby looked like when we first began visiting him! Memories! The rate at which those feathers come in at this point is ridiculous! If you miss a day, you really do miss a lot!

I'm truly enjoying the experience of watching him grow. Thanks again.

Pazu is precious and getting cuter every day!

He's so big now. Precious little guy!

Haha, no EAI, it's not bad! :p

Thanks Stephen! Awww! :) No no, thank you!

Thank you Allee! :p

Haha, Craig is it? Hmm..maybe they are secretly related and just trying to fool us by pretending to be different sub-species?? ;)

He really is ACE! :D

VIDEO! This is our daughter teaching Pazu how to be LOUD! -_- *sighs deeply*
If the bird isn't naturally loud, he will be taught by the kids... I can never win!

And so you can all put a face to my name, here's me after my hair cut today! :)
P.S. A selfie.. ia lways look horrid in them! But it shows off my new hair! :p Love the 'light and floofy' feeling of a fresh cut!

So I had Pazu out in the lounge-room today for about an hour, just snuggling. And my gosh he's such a snuggle bug! Photos aren't very good quality because I took them with my phone.

He's staying at 365 - 370g, so I don't think he's going to end up a Giant. ^^
