I'm reaching out for advice and guidance. Three weeks ago, I brought home my first Indian Ringneck, Zazu, who was just a chick at the time. I've raised him with love and care, and our bond is incredibly strong.
However, without doing proper research, I impulsively bought a second Ringneck, Kiwi. As a seasoned cockatiel owner , I thought it would be a seamless transition, housing the two but I've since realized my mistake.
My heart aches thinking about potentially losing the special connection I share with Zazu( I was even in tears lol) Our bond is beautiful and straightforward, and I fear introducing Kiwi might compromise it.
I love both birds, but I'm torn. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I maintain my bond with Zazu while also ensuring Kiwi's happiness?
