First heart attack of the day; tornadoes.

Second heart attack of the day: Groot running off to hide in a dark corner under the dishwasher.

Interesting days :)

You actually have me following the tornadoes and worrying about them...

wow, despite seeing both in person I forget how close in size Conures are to Ringnecks.

I also forgot you had your own bunch of Conures! Busy household (extremely cute too)

Is it any wonder they nicknamed Pallid “lacewing”??

Two nests of Ringnecks hatching two nights ago.

In nest 1 2 babies hatched, two more are hatching (hatching actually takes 2-4 days). Babies look great! Mom is creamino, dad is single factor violet, so our possible colors are blue, turquoise, violet, and violet turquoise.

In nest 2 dad is blue and mom is turquoise so our expected colors are just blue and turquoise but we got a red eyed baby which means dad is either split to albino or pallid, so we could also get either blue pallid and turquoise pallid, or albino and creamino. Either way, the baby with red eyes is female. I had to assist one baby (will try to post video later), and two hatched on their own. In the morning they looked like this. Stiff, laying on their backs, scattered, and cold to the touch. I had to pull the whole nest. One egg had almost hatched so I brought it inside (it’s hatched now, had to be assisted), and the other looked like it still has a few days so I put it under Hanalei, my foster hen. The red-eyed baby was too far gone unfortunately but I’m feeding the three dark eyed babies. At this age they eat every 2 hours. I’m exhausted.

Amazing, amazing photos.

That dear man. The birdies are so safe and trusting. Okay, I know I'm weird, but the photo reminds me of the time that plane had to ditch in the Hudson River, and all the people gathered together on its hull!!!!!!!

You pictures are always so much fun!
