I need to know what should i feed my alex so that his feathers doesnt grow that weak (he is currently having feather issue, you can see it in alexandrine section). Thanks
What are you currently feeding your Alexandrine? Commonly, who you purchased your parrot from should have provide at least some basic instructions.
A very basic diet would be smaller sized quality pellets with a high quality small parrot mix (remove any sun flower seeds). However, the majority of an Alexandrine diet would be fresh fruit and vegetables, especially green to dark green vegetables. Alexandrine's are not commonly fussy eater and will consume a variety of quality nutritious foods. As with any of the world wide parrot family, your parrot should be given the opportunity to try a large variety of fruits and vegetables.
I am certain that the Alexandrine group will add greatly to this very basic starting point. Stay away from the cheap dry foods. If it is not 'Human Grade' keep looking.
A healthy diet will go along way to helping your parrot regrow feathers.
Regarding who you purchased your Alex from. Do they know any local Vets? Since, we have no idea where you are in this very large world, we are limited in helping you regarding that issue. Based on your Alex Forum post, your parrot possibly has a health problem. It will help if you provide more detail regarding that/those issues in your other post.
I understand your concerns regarding stating where in this world you are, especially for a new comer to any Forum. Since Vet Services vary widely across the world and with in specific countries based on population. Having stated that, this Forum has members in many countries and/or lightly populated areas around the world and a member in your area may know of Vet Services near you or a traveling Vet.
