ROTLMAO!!! Our favourite saying of Mishka's is 'Stevie boy's bum is sore, oh shame!' Is it just us, or do others also quote Mishka's wisdom on a daily basis?

I think a lot of his appeal is the 'musicality' in his voice (thanks to Ant). Many greys seem to speak in a flat, featureless sort of way, but Mishka's lilting voice is just perfect.

I wish I could quote Mishka's wisdom on a daily basis there are just not enough hours in the day.
I must get this one recordered, he says "Stevaliekie is disgusting his bum is dirty"

I make all his training a fun session, emphasizing the words making sure he is interested in what is being said. I am sure Mishka does not even realize it's a training session but a fun time.

Latest update on Mishka pertaining to the script.

Mishka is not interested in "our" script
He is producing his own one and adding more phrases daily.

The tiger's bum is sore why
Why is the Tiger sore?
Oh shame listen to the birdie
Did you see the bird outside
Did you hear the birdies are crying
The birdie is sore mommy
Why are the birdies gone?
The tiger poopie outside ohhh ohhh
The birdie saw the tiger
The birdie kissed the tiger
I want to kiss the tiger (kiss kiss)
The tiger is sore why mommy?
Oh shame the tiger is scared why mommy?
The tiger is gone where?

Steven loved this one "Stevieboy is a Tiger"

I sent them updated video's of Mishka's progress they are so impressed and can't wait for the end result.

Fortunately there is not a set deadline, the longer left the more Mishka will practice resulting in an awesome end result.

We practice every night and over weekends, we are having so much fun.
I reckon it's Mishka highlight of the day.

They are on their way at this very moment bringing an "upgraded" camera and mic.

So did the crew they were laughing hysterically when they heard it.

The crew have just left, they are so impressed with Mishka's progress.

They installed an awesome camera with a very sophisticated mic.

The sound is incredible, Mishka sounds too beautiful
Just have to figure it all out.

I have asked Mishka to pray for her as well.........he mumbled I guess it's his way of praying.

The beautiful word "Sterretjie" is an Afrikaans word meaning "little star"

Great news !!!!!!!!

Mishka is busy learning the last line for the advert.
Once he as learnt it, a quick video recording then the tasks is complete.

We have spent many happy playful hours chatting, playing and learning the script.

Recording Mishka was a dream, he knew exactly what to do and when, performing like a true star.

I have spent endless hours recording and editing videos
All in all there are over 20 videos which I have forwarded to the TV crew.
They are ecstatic with the results and can't wait for the end result.

Mishka has truly amazed me, learning it all in such a short time and creating his own sayings.

Will keep you all updated !!!!

It was a long long journey believe me
One month and five days.................
Talking non stop about the forest etc etc

Mishka will have payback on me......
I now have to listen to him for a few years telling me about the forest, the tigers and the birdies.

It sure was a challenge for Mishka and he definitely came through.

I am very proud of my baby !!!!!

I had a debate a while ago with my husband wether parrots are smarter than apes. I said they are, because even though they can't "sign their words" they actually use human speech which is definitively intelligent. He said that they just repeat.....at which point my CAG said: "Poopie Poopie Poop"! I said: can apes SAY what I THINK??? HA!

Mishka is definitively a spokesbirdie for anyone who think that parrots just repeat. He obviously uses words in a meaningful manner and is very smart. Just a matter of time until the whole world falls in love with MISHKA!!
