I cant believe how focused Mishka was! He was concentrating soooo much on what you were saying, it was unbelievable!

Seems like a big script to learn, but he can definitely do it!

That is exactly how I train Mishka, but normally it is noisy with the TV on and takes place at night.
Normally it's nose to beak, but Mishka was aware of the camera, as it was not situated in it's normal place near his cage.

It is amazing how long he concentrates for, not taking his eyes off me for one second (well most of the time anyway)
If I stop talking he begins to nibble at my hand until I begin talking again.
The script is a large one, and will take lots of time to train him.

Today he said the Tiger is pooping in the bathroom LoL He does not understand there is no bathroom in the forest. Followed by "Oh shame I am sorry for the birdies"

Oh well I think about it this way

Mishka has nothing to do all day
Except sitting in his cage eating, playing, drinking and pooping.
Mishka is going nowhere
He loves talking 24/7 and now has the opportunity to do so.

Mishka is doing fantastic learning the script
We chatted and played the entire day, sometimes in his cage other times out.

I was focusing on the birdies and the Tiger today.
I said many different sentences with the above words in.

I video recordered him late this afternoon, Mishka really surprised me

He began saying the following today -

Did you see the bird
Did you see the birdies are crying
The birdie is crying
Listen to the birdie
The birdie is sore
The birdie are gone (LoL)
Did you see the birdies are sore mommy?



The tiger is sore
The tiger is crying
Did you see the Tiger is sore?
The tiger is gone


Oh shame I am sorry
Oh shame I am sore
Oh I am scared

I am so proud of my baby, he sure is a fast learner

Awwwwww when waking up this morning Mishka asked me

"Why are the Tiger's scared mommy oh shame"

My heart just melted, he said it with such feeling

I am just so fortunate that Mishka is a quick learner and has learnt to mix and match words together.

He is now saying "I want to kiss the Tiger (kiss kiss)

Just waiting for him to tell me the Tiger must go poopie LoL

I love how Mishka is so wise regarding poopie! LOL! Have you noticed how he never says 'The car must go poopie' or 'I want to kiss poopie'? He knows that's not correct! Mishka is the only parrot I've seen who appears to know exactly what he's saying and it blows me away to see how clever he is. Looking forward to his next video.

PS. Sadly, my daughter didn't get the job she went for - sigh - I'm hoping something else will come along soon.

Oh my goodness! How I love this bird. I was just telling me husband how he sometimes calls you "a lady of the night" My husband was rolling! Mishka is soooo smart. I think as part of my training I am going to play Mishka videos for my birds! I am looking forward to the Mishka commercial & doc!

When Steven arrived home from Varsity Mishka said to him "Stevaliekie why did you poopie on the floor heeeeeey"

Steven showed Mishka the middle finger LoL (he is a wicked child)
OMG I wonder if Mishka would be able to do THAT !!!!

Steven thinks he is a GREAT teacher, he mentioned THAT word to Mishka just ONCE 4 years ago and he has never ever forgotten it.

Each and every video I make I have to edit out his favourite word and phrase.

Now that Mishka is begining to say the script, adding in so many of his own words and sentences pertaining to the advert, and having so much fun doing so, I am now begining to get excited.

Latest update on Mishka's TV Advert

He has said most of the "saying" require of him, I am amazed how quickly he has learnt it.
Now the hardest part, videoing him saying them all, not necessarily in order though.


He is " creating" his own script adding in lots of " extra's"

Earlier this evening after dinner he said to me

"Mommy the Tiger must be careful"
" Oh be careful Tiger I want to kiss you"
"The birdie's bum is sore oh shame"

I reckon Mishka want to be in charge and "have the last say" LoL

ROTLMAO!!! Our favourite saying of Mishka's is 'Stevie boy's bum is sore, oh shame!' Is it just us, or do others also quote Mishka's wisdom on a daily basis?

I think a lot of his appeal is the 'musicality' in his voice (thanks to Ant). Many greys seem to speak in a flat, featureless sort of way, but Mishka's lilting voice is just perfect.

Mishka related to the word poopie from an early age, when placing him on the potty I always said Mishka poopie. He is aware when someone goes to the bathroom they are either going to shower or poopie.
