Oh poor Romeo, spending all that time in a cage that tiny! How lucky is he that he has a wonderful new forever home with you?!Next up! Romeo! He’s the oldest bird I have, just turned 14, he lived in poor conditions for all that time
Then
And yes! He lived in that cage all that time, I made it fun for him while I scrambled to find him a bigger cage.

Well don't ever give up on that. I can't remember if I told you already about the beautiful lutino hen I had MANY years ago called Twinkle. She was an escapee I found on the street a few doors down from out house, and tried to find her family but without success, so we kept her and had her for about 10 years. It took eight of those years before suddenly a little light flicked on in her head and she switched almost overnight from being completely hands-off to being just the snuggliest cuddliest little birdie you could ever hope for, still with plenty of sass and attitude of course. Anything is possible, with your love and care Romeo might just come around one day too, and I hope he does! He’s such a cutie! I wish I could pet his fluffy little head!!!

I know the feeling. Every time I go into a pet store and see all those cute little budgies I just want to take them all home with me! I avoid going in for this reason. Someday I want to have room for a really big bunch-o-budgies!Isn't it terrible going into pet shops and not being able to take ALL of those beautiful babies home?! I almost got sucked in to buying a moustached parakeet not so long ago, s/he was just the sweetest little thing Would've been a very expensive buy though cos I'd have had to pay for an extension on the house to fit in yet ANOTHER bird cage, that was pretty much the only thing that stopped me!
