The Rickeybird Scrapbook, 1984 - Updates

" This is grain, which any fool can eat, but for which the Lord intended a more divine means of consumption. Let us give praise to our maker and glory to his bounty by learning about... BEER" Friar Tuck.

Blessed-er as Easter, Fun-er as St. Patty's Day, PartyHeartier than Cinco de Mayo...

Speaking of Salty's celebration.....................
I was in the same house that very day while this so-called party was in process. I remember the Rb raising his usual HECK, while my lovely bride was crying out her usual "WHAAAT?" 's and "HUHHH?" 's that always accompany any of her attempts to talk on the phone or Skype while her demon parrot is joining in on the conversation!

And now, for a rare moment of couth and culture,
the Scrapbook will take note of
National Haiku Poetry Day!

The Rickeybird himself has set forth a particularly tasteful and reverent little verse
celebrating the traditional Haiku inspirations of
Nature, Beauty and Sentiment...

What more can I possibly contribute?

Ahhh, Rickybird... Such poetic skills you have, and oh, so much CLASS! :)

Thank you, thank you. He was gonna write one about pooping in his water, but I put my foot down. And... that's another National Haiku Day safely immortalized!

I do not think that the rude musings of the Rickeybird are suited to the noble traditions of Haiku poetry. If we MUST hear of his poo, limericks seem to be a more appropriate venue.
Here's a little example from long ago.......................
Feel me?

Well, going back to the first poem format I ever learned...

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
We love our parrots...
Even their poo.

*sigh*

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
We love our parrots,
Especially their poo...... is that weird? Or is that just me?? I may have given away too much!! :D

I am giving this a great deal of thought, LaMartina. I think that there may be three ranks of parrot people.................................. those who reply with
"DESPITE" their poo, and those who respond with
"EVEN" their poo, and then, there are those who reply with
"ESPECIALLY" their poo.

Then there are those who, when asked, just bite their tongues.

Ouch.

Rival, to paraphrase the Bard, "Some people are born to bird poop, some achieve bird poop, and some have bird poop thrust upon them." I suspect I am all three - may as well embrace it!

Parrot Poop!?

Something that those with Parrots are faced with regardless of their specific opinion of it! Like it, Hate it, it is always produced and deposited! Always!!

Thank you, Major Tom. And, speaking of the passing of time...
