Isolated Holler in the Appalachian Wilderness
Parrots
B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
I made a toy for Fatty. Having a teeny tiny budgie is fun, opens up a crazy small world of what is bird safe that absolutely would not be with a stronger beak or more aggressive play style.

Rexlace and pony bead lizard(don't worry, it's all bird safe stuff!). Got enough supplies to make about a bajillion teeny budgie toys. Even old-bones Alex is too aggressive of a chewer for these. That's ok, though. This was a big critter order, and more boxes of goodies are expected in the coming days.

Okay, I'm in love with Fatty Dingdong the Rude...

So may I ask: how did he get his name(s)?

I don't THINK anybody has asked that yet.

:)

I used to make those all the time as a kid! Lots of animals and other things are possible using pony beads and that plasticy cord (can't think of what it's called).

I bet that would be a fun toy for a smaller parrot! Wonder if a larger parrot friendly version could be made from larger wood beads and sisal rope? I may give that a try. I bought 10lbs of random wood beads for birds a few years ago and still am getting through them (Kiwi isn't a big chewer so I keep re-using them lol).

As long as the rope and wood is Parrot safe then the sky is the limit. I really wanna make a bead parrot now lol but i wont incase it promotes bird violence lol. Id love too see pics of the lizard :) maybe ill make a unicorn lol x

Hehehehe got another package just now. Fatty won't even wait for me to unwrap the goodies, let alone make them into toys. :p

Lol I'll tell the story of Fatty's name in a little bit, right now I need to make bird toys before Fatty curses me with Birdmagic, which is totally a thing (ever "accidentally" drop something, forget something, break something, or hurt yourself after telling a bird "no"? Yeah, 'Twern't no accident. Birdmagic.)
