Happy Hatch Day, Beautiful Lucy!

She's darling, thanks for sharing her photos! :)

Grace, we got told he was born early December. He was very small and had very little feathers when we got him early January. This photo is from the day we brought him home. View attachment 13802

He was a bit young to bring home at that age being born in early December and bring home early January. I can see it in that picture that is about right for his age.

Love all the beautiful tiels! I think they are SO underrated in the bird world--they're gorgeous little creatures! :white1::grey:

Mikey, he was out of the nest anf eating independently, maybe he is older then we were told? We are new to this and Taco is our first cockatiel.

Buddy is now five years old, and a very loving intelligent companion.

Another handsome fellow! I think the white faces are so pretty.

Yes they can wean early, but I wouldn't let them go at that age.....it looks like he was very young in that picture. So like I've said the age is about right being around a month and 5 days at most.

Thanks Mikey. I'm gonna stick with 5 months. Since I do t know hatch dates we will celebrate happy home day.

Your welcome! Now you know they're right about the hatch date. :)

This is Frosty. 16 years old white face, he will be 17 this summer. Still acts like he's 5

This is Cleo and the cradle robber she is 5 years old

Rick, Frosty and Cleo are so adorable, thanks for sharing their photos.

Great thread idea, Allee! My Suzie passed over 3 years ago, now, due to kidney disease at the not-quite-old age of 18 years old. He was a normal gray, and one of the most loving birds you could ever meet.

Thank you, Doc, and thank you for posting Suzie's photo. He was such a handsome boy. Did you have him all his life?

Thank you, Huckleberry. I'd had him since he was maybe 5 or 6 months old. We bought him at a flea-market, believe it or not, and were told with absolute authority that he was a she... hence the somewhat effeminate appellation. Lol!

Hello, Cockatiel People, and Cockatiels!
I hope y'all won't mind if I drop in and share a picture of my bird's feet. I have always loved his little pink "cockatiel feet", so unlike the bigger, more muscular-looking feet and toes of most parrots. Aren't they beautiful?
Come to think of it, Patagonians, to me, look like a cross between one of the smaller macaws and a cockatiel!

Here's my little birdie. Baby bird loves outings in her aviator!:D:white1:

Loving all the tiel pics. They're so cute and photogenic little birds. Baby will be 14 this year. He's a normal grey. Sometimes I think they're becoming rare these days for some reason. It is nice to know the age of other members' tiels, it is comforting.
