I went to a parrot shop right around the corner from my apartment and talked to them on how to make a transition easier on Kodak and Chevy. They told me that since Budgies are birds that like to be on the ground, placing sturdy branches on the ground of their cage can help them. Also putting seeds on the bottom as well can help them out. So far, they have been transitioning well! They are constantly making noise and singing. I got these two boys from PetSmart locally from the same cage. I have toddler who is doing great so far with respecting his birds and doesn't try to bang on the cage or anything. He likes to look at them, but doesn't hold too much interest. Heck, Chevy and Kodak got out when I was rearranging things in their cage for them and my son was more interested in Shrek lol!
