Albie - Pineapple Green Cheek Conure - Hatch date 14 Dec 2019 - Gotcha date - 4 March 2020
So since weve moved house weve started having people over again(last time properly was before covid ! Albie is a "lock down" birb who hasnt been socialised with new people beyond us and close family)

Tonight we had a young family over . We had them all do some cage target training and treating with albie and after every one had eaten (albie remained caged because not every one likes the idea of sharing with animals from their plates) i let him out.

He went to every person in turn and snuggled up , gave kisses and preened a bit ! He was so polite and so gentle, especially so with the 7 year old . He was amazing ! Im so happy and proud of him ! I think he enjoyed the extra attention off the new people and was showing off.

It seems that letting him out and letting him choose when and who he says hello to is working

Wow, that's impressive, Albie! I've met so many GCCs that are otherwise wonderful little birds, but uniformly ALL were not good with young kids, and several were downright aggressive towards them. Stitch, whatever you're doing, keep it up :)

Well, turns out today his amazing good behaviour last night didnt carry over to today . hes attacked my hubby . Albie flew at him and latched on to his lip after he was let out of his cage this afternoon . Its a pretty nasty bite too.

I am now seriously considering a light clip its not something i want to do but ,i cant have him flying to attack any one least of mr stitch
