I cannot help you as all my greys have been rescued or adopted from 8 yrs up to 20+. I will tell you that they learn new words, whistles and sound effects all the time. :)

Greybeard, aka Grumpy Girl, had been in the store at least a year when we bought him (DNA'd at that purchase) in June 2010. He's shy about talking, but started about 3 weeks after we bought him home: "phone ring sound: Hello." "smoke alarm low battery tone" etc., which he had learned some time before.

He did a great wolf whistle, which I easily taught him to follow with, "Hubba hubba, ding ding; Baby you got everything!" (from a WWII movie)

Guess I don't recognize a molt. He's never plucked, either. I'll let you judge his eyes.

Song: He is pretty good at learning whistled songs the Addams Family was the first but I've backed off the whistling a bit until he's talking.

The rest is NA, he's not quite formed any words yet but it sounds like he's trying. His eyes are getting lighter but they are still grey. He's too young to molt and I really hope he never plucks!
