I have noticed from up close examination that I can see the black pupils of Bingo through his eyelids when his eyes are closed.
How much light can his eyelids block if I can still make out the pupil?
And no not talking about nictitating eyelids.

We can see a lot of light through ours so I imagine it's at least the same with parrots.

Try to get a photo of what you're seeing with Bingo. If you use flash it should show especially when you enlarge closeup the picture. But he might get mad at you if you take a flash photo while he's sleeping.

Here’s a picture.

LIKEWISE! WOW.

I mean, WOWWWWWWWWWW!

I see it in the Rb, too!

Birds' eyes are so weird! They can "sleep" half their brain, one eye at a time; they see ultraviolet light colors; their lids are... transparent?????????????????

Whaaaaa-a-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaaaaaaaat?
