Ona’s Thread

Toddlers are the best… ❤️❤️❤️
Have you tried to teach Ona to watch you transfer a small object back and forth from hand to hand then close your hands and have her tell you which hand it's in?

I have not! That is a good idea though! I will have to give that a try. I'll have to find an object that can't be confused with our color training. And probably first teach her to to just touch the hand the object is in with my hands open. Then transfer it and touch. Then closed hands.

Why is she talking to the ice cube tray?! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

No problem with talking to the ice cube tray, but I would start to worry if the ice cube tray starts talking back!!:eek::eek:

One of my friends said she heard a "hello" and an "I love you" in there. I think she might be right! I guess she loves the ice cube tray 🤣
🎼 "Hello, I love you let me jump in your .... ice cube tray!" 🎶 With MANY apologies to Jim Morrison and The Doors!! 😁

Also - do you see how she look at me when I say "are you ready?" That is her "understanding" look. A particular tilt of the head, something in the eyes that just says "I am learning, I am listening." I LOVE that look.

Oh yeah, I have to ask Lovejoy "are you ready for your scratches" before i try to give him snuggles. It's all very much on their terms and in their time, isn't it? And I love that it is 💖

We like to share a banana.

What does she wipe her beak on afterward? Rocky wipes hers on hard surfaces. She hasn't figured out it works better to wipe on fabric.
She wipes it on my hand of course! Her personal napkin.
