Ona's toy box- where all her good stuff is!I stole @ravvlet idea and made a foraging box from the Squawk Box. I put in seeds and treats and she likes it:

A few mins ago my husband claimed he said “hey” to her and she said “hello” back! I’m so sad I missed it! And that’s so smart that she said “hello” to a “hey”!
My husband says "my life has gone to the birds"!Ona's toy box- where all her good stuff is!
I keep a bowl on the kitchen table wirh Rocky's small "toys", like q-tips, zip-ties, bottle caps, washers and other bits of hardware, etc. Actually, the table is her playground, as you can see. The picture of the budgies- they're her friends.View attachment 53756

Thanks! The picture of Rocky's "friends" are a page out of one of the countless calendars I get in the mail for making small charity donations. It was a animal rescue calendar and I couldn't believe there was this amazing shot of these gorgeous homeless budgies! I tore it out for for Rocky who loved it immediately. I taped it up but she proceeded to make chads out of it, so I protected the edges with clear, wide packing tape and she can no longer destroy it.Now that is ONE spoiled rotten fuzzbutt! And love the picture of the budgies!
Aww! So glad she likes it!I finally made the Mama’s Birdie Bread @zERo
It is a hit! She likes this a lot better than previous birdie bread I’ve made her.

Thank you. I reckon if I left the seeds out of that mix, even Lovejoy could have that!Momma's Birdie Bread SINGING
Every birdie needs something to sing about and the medley of flavors Momma has composed for this loaf will put a sweet song in your bird's heart. This one will get your bird singing Old McDonald it's so good. 10 oz. .www.mysafebirdstore.com

Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh they sure do know how to play on our heartstrings, don't they? My GCC from some time ago, Baci, would save all of his most plaintive and pitiful peeps for after bedtime, it literally did sound like he was crying. I KNEW I was being played but it worked every time and utterly broke my heart. Talk about your emotional blackmail, they're just toooooooooo good at it!!!Alright I have to say a little more about Ona now saying "mommy" and "daddy".
So, thinking back on it, I think I kind of taught her to say these. I would touch her on the beak and say "Ona". Then I would touch myself on the nose and say "mommy". And go back and forth. And she'd give her classic look of understanding. I'd also point at my husband and say "daddy".
Now here's the thing. She really knows how to tug at our heartstrings! Guess when she says mommy and daddy the most? When she is locked in her cage. She will literally sit there and cry "mommy! mommy!" (it does sound like ah-eee because she can't say "m" very well). My goodness it is just heartbreaking! And she KNOWS it! She is full on abusing her powers! What a bird she is.
