Ona is home!!!
It was a
huge success with the sitter! I am fortunate to have found such a great sitter so close by! She spent all weekend with Ona and really seemed to enjoy having her. She said Ona spend most of the time on her shoulder or trying to perch on her glasses
She practiced some of her tricks with her and said Ona was "incredible at them". She even took her on a walk in her backpack! Apparently Ona also liked her roommate and flew to him a couple times when he would leave the room. The sitter said "she is definitely the type of bird that wants to be involved in what you are doing and with you." Sooo true.
When I went to pick her up I didn't know what to expect with how she would react. She was silent when she was me, but she did puff up and hop to my finger when I offered it. She gave me a kiss and asked for scritchins. BUT later when we were gathering up her cage and things, she flew to the sitter shoulder, gave her a kiss, and then when I tried to tell her to step up so we could leave she refused and gave me a tiny pinch of defiance!!
Sooo... I think she was a
little mad.
She seemed a tiny bit disoriented when we first got home but has settled back in by now. She's already asleep for the night because the bird sitter gets up earlier than we do and she was tired.
