Update for the Amazon: she was adopted by a wonderful family and has been steadily losing weight on a quality diet (mostly pellets). She loves her new mama and moves around her cage much more easily. Thanks for all the support!

Ya, pets can be spoiled, were they eat just about what we eat, but it is not smart, because of the obese problems. A over weight parrot will die sooner than a health parrot.
