My new Ekkie Grayson / Veronica Update

Glad your getting better from your accident, sorry to hear you had to give up your birds because of it. At least they are with your aunt, perhaps they will come back to you one day!!! :)

So sorry to hear about your accident, wishing you a speedy recovery.
Sad you had to give the birds up i can feel your pain.
At least you are able to visit and know they are in good hands.
When fully recovered perhaps then the birds could be returned to their rightful guardian.

very beautiful birds, how old are your two now do you know, it may be very unlikely they would ever mate if they are over 3 they may bond but very unlikely they would breed

Thank you all for the message..

And for the time being they will remain down in Houston with my aunt..

She is opposed to breeding them. as she wants to be able to handle them.

Here are my new 2 babies that keep me company now.

Meet Lola the African/Indian Ringneck (Hybrid Perhaps??)

and Dany my Alexandrine.

Both Females and just a blast to play with.

Lola is a bit clumsy and still messes up her feathers when shes climbing around. (She looks a bit tattered) but is super healthy.

She is a bit shy as well.. (she is not hand reared) but shes warming up to her surroundings.

Dany is awesome. she loves to be handled and likes to watch TV.

So sorry to hear about your accident! It's great though that your aunt has been able to help you out and you can still see your fabies!

Dany and Lola are lovely! I was all excited about hearing of an ARN breeder, until you mentioned that she might be a hybrid... oh drats! ARN's aren't very common, and are probably hybridized due to ignorance, and it would be nice to see more ARN's as pets!

Anyway, welcome back! :)

The breeder told me she was an Indian Ringneck.

She certainly has the size of an Indian Ringneck.. and has white-ish little feet. but her beak is what makes me think shes a hybrid..

I hear ARN's are much more friendly than IRN's. So If she has the best of both worlds Im all for it :)

Lola's beak does appear kind of dark-ish. I'd be interesting in seeing what her parents look like.
