Can someone recommend a good air purifier? I’ve heard cockatoos are very dusty and we are supposed to go see one this Saturday that is up for adoption. If we do adopt I want to be prepared.

I have African Grey. I went through the same thing. More so since according to testing I am allergic to everything except my name and Social Security number (
). I was instructed by ENT to get a negative ionizer that also pulled air back. Those release negative ions that make dust, pollen etc heavy and they fall. The pull back or circulation features bring air back and dust etc stick to some filter device. These are rinsed, then repeat. There are numerous styles, makes and models and energy efficiency. I was living in apartment at the time. I got the best I could afford, easily portable room to room, easy clean. As extra if you have allergies, environmental problems aka near heavy traffic and the like you'll benefit too.
