I agree with the Members here who advised you to keep them seperate for a while so they can get used to eachother, U2s have lots of dust and is very bad for Macaws, so you may want to invest in an air filter and keep it next to your U2s cage so this will keep the dust down.
Your B&G is going through lots of changes right now,so slow down his world, spend lots of one on one time with him, give him the chance to bond with you and your Family first, then see how your U2 and B&G interact with eachother.
As far as his diet, Some B&G are smaller then others, Have a Vet take a look at him to see his bone structure and what weight is good for him.
Fresh fruit, fresh Veg are very important here, a good brand of Pellets like Zupreme or Roudy Bush. Seeds and Nuts should only be given as treats a few times per week, not everyday.
You can give them Almonds when training him, the fastest way to a Macaws heart is through their crop. Best of luck and keep us posted on his progress. Joe

I am spending at least 2 hours a day with Billy but he is still being aggressive with me.My U2 bond with me a lot faster I shouldn't expect that the B&G will do the same thing. I will just continue spending time with the Billy and get more advice here for another week or so
Thanks

How can I introduce pellets on his diet?
He only eats walnuts and sunflower seeds and few fresh fruits.

Also i notice that he have a watery dropping today maybe from the heat wave that we are having here and stress. Although he is drinking plenty of water after his shower and playing around outside the cage. Since he is behaving better he is inside the house during the day since yesterday but on the garage when temp drop to 75 degrees. I will continue to observe him.

Thanks

The watery poop is from the fruit.
Give him pellets instead of the seeds in the same food dish that you usually give the walnuts & the sunflower seeds in. Watch the bottom of the cage to make sure he is eating them. You could give very minimal amounts of the walnuts, like 1 & a few sunflower seeds but then give lots of pellets & the fresh fruit & veg. I have switched 6 large & very large parrots from seed to pellets successfully.
A male Umbrella cockatoo at a rescue here recently bit out a piece of a woman's lip. They actually found the piece of her lip later. I have been told that the female Umbrella & Molluccan cockatoos do not get aggressive like this, but knowing this I would not let your young children have such close contact with the male cockatoo. I would also think twice before I would let the male Umbrella cockatoo by your face.

He aggressiveness slowly going away:)

Thanks
Our U2 are not a rescue she/he was on a pet shop for a while
So she/ he is use to kids and never bit anyone before.
Regardless I don't let me children handle them without me.

How did you switch them to pellets
My B@G and U2 throw them away even if I mix it with seeds and walnut
But both eats a lot for fresh fruits from the side yard though like Asian pears and apple.
Also Does it take a long time to convert them?
My in laws in PI have 30+ something parrots and macaw eating primary cheap pellets mix with water and fruits.
All of her birds are very fat.

Thanks!

With regards to the food - My B&G will generally only eat fruit/ veg that is green so try him on cucumber, grapes, apples, pears etc. Also my parrot loves bread. It is only for a treat but try some toast with peanut butter on it. Mine absolutely loves it. That should help to fatten him up a bit.

I switched my parrots from seeds to pellets just by phasing out the seeds & putting the pellets in the dish that the seeds had been in more & more over time. First put the nuts/seeds in a little bit along with some pellets. I feed a 4 pellet mixture offered by a local parrots store here called Parrot Island. Then as the parrots start eating the pellets, phase out or give less & less of the seeds over time. You may have to just try the pellets instead of the seeds because if they have the seeds they will probably always prefer those. It did not take my parrots long to convert at all.

I agree with Kerry, phasing out the the seeds and nuts and more pellets. One thing about Macaws, they will not go hungry, they will eat what is provided to them.
If you U2 and B&G like to be handed their treats, hand them pellets instead and praise them when they take and eat it. You may want to buy a small bag of pellets to start with to see what kind of pellets they like. Most Macaws like the color pellets while others may like the brown natural pellets. I have been told that the color Pellets are better for the feathers. Not sure if there is any thuth to that. You can also make a game with the pellets, hide them, wrap them up in paper. be creative, Macaws love to play and explore. Best of luck Joe

All the toys are out since JOEY is always out of the cage when the picture was taken:)

Update
I feed Billy more nuts, fruits and sugar cookies today just to have something more than seeds his dropping improves and hopefully gains weight.
Since the sugar cookies looks like the Zupreme pellets I will trick him to eat it tomorrow .hopefully i can slowly cut down on seeds and nuts:) so he can gain good weight.

I think you really need to do your homework on the Diet for any birds. You should never feed any bird sugar, caffine, chocolate, apple seeds. There are other food too that should not be given to birds, please find the list online or Google. I hope the best for your birds. Joe

The sugar cookies doesn't even have a lot of sugar it's just called a sugar cookies
People here feed their bird toast with peanut butter what do you think is on the peanut butter?
I know about the avocado, caffeine, chocolate and everything else but no one mention don't every feed them sweets!

He is very thin and not eating good so I try Zupreme Pellets never touch it even with juice the first day I got him and try for a week.he eats walnut and sunflower seeds but not a lot and he is still have watery dropping he needs
Calories before his electrolytes drop too.

Thanks to THE SUGAR COOKIES he is eating better and have form dropping but he is not out of the woods yet.
He have a appointment with avian vet soon.

I don't know where you live but here in the U.S, sugar cookies are made up from Flour, eggs, and sugar. Buy many types of pellets in small bags at your pet store, try them all, you are bond to stumble across one that he will like. You can also try mixing in the pellets with his other foods like veg and fruit. I know some people add a little water to them and their Macaws eat them that way. Sometimes both my boys eat them by dunking them in their water bowls.
I am all for adding a safe amount of weight to your Macaw but you have to go about it in the right way and what is safe for your Macaw. Sweets are not the right way here or any bird. You can also try whole wheat breads, cereals like wheaties.
I'm glad you're taking him to an Aviary Vet, perhaps they can give you good advise on what diet is best for your Macaw to keep them safe and healthy. Best of luck to you Joe
