Yes we LOVE the gnomes too!!!! We're looking for a BIG gnome, so far no luck finding one. I saw one at walmart but it was plastic, I don't do plastic gnomes.....I'm even happier that we got to repaint them differently then they were at one point. Made it extra special. Always looking for new gnomes to put into the garden. :)

Does this count as a BIG Gnome ?? :D

Back when the Travelocity Gnome was big in TV commercials my then "young" daughter kept nagging me to buy her that Gnome, she asked for the little one

Well I didn't buy it for her and then for her birthday I got her the GIANT Travelocity Gnome, it cost me a ridiculous amount of money, if I remember correctly it was about $80 !!! for a giant plastic gnome LOL

All these years later it still sits in my living room next to my TV :D

Here is a picture of my daughter Rissa from today holding her loving Travelocity gnome

Hope everybody has a great Friday and even better weekend :)

Joe

BEAUTIFUL photos, Michael! WOW, what a difference from last year. I LOVE what you did on the side of your driveway, that was a LOT of work. :D I know you probably can't wait for it all to fill in now.

Oh...your peonies!! GAAAHHH!!! :32: :32:

And the roses!!! :D

I love how you are personalizing the garden. THAT's what makes it special and unique.

Now you can slap me for hopping on here so darn late. :54:

Joe,

Unfortunately I don't do plastic gnomes as Wal-Mart has the big plastic ones too. I'm still searching for the big gnomes.....

It's ok Shirre, I'll stack you and Wendy as the large gnome in the garden.....lol...... ;)

Love the pictures of your gardens, great job. I also miss my small red maples and my peonies. Can't grow them down here in sunny Florida, not enough cold chill hours.:)

Wow! Very beautiful. So far, this spring, I've planted flowers in my flower bed and I thought "that" was a lot of work. You've obviously worked VERY hard.

What a gorgeous garden you have!

I'm good with critters, but giving me a plant is a death sentence...:D

Fantastic PEONIES! Really gorgeous Peony flowers! Mikey your garden is a well arranged & well planned garden.

Thanks so much!!!! I'm not one of those that rush things, I take time in choosing what I want and take time to start them out young and watch them grow. Most of these plants were either super tiny, flower bulbs, or half dead when I brought them home to plant them. There's been plants I've taken out due to the improper tagging at the store (wrong kind of plant) and ended up with something that give me a headache. I yank them by the root to rid them....Some things I grew from a stem.....I have rooting hormone powder to help.....I grow plants from my own garden and give them away to friends or neighbors. Last year I've given away butterfly bushes, 4'o clock, gardenia, carolina jasmine, etc that I grew. I love learning on how to propagate and pollenate plants and flowers.

Yes I know plenty of people like that as they give me their half dead plants for me to bring back alive. They come to my house and asks me, how do you make your plants so pretty. I said with love! :)
As that's the same way I do with my animals, my partner can tell you, IF any of them gets sick, I'm the one who watches them throughout the night and barely sleep at all period. I'm the one who administer all the medications. I clip all the nails for my dogs, cats, and birds. I won't even go into fish as I don't do your traditional treatment as I go herbal with garlic as it boost their immune system. I bring half dead fish back to full health. :)

Love the Japanese Maple!

They're one of my favorite!!!! I have 3 different kinds....There's one kind I've been looking for, didn't think of a place to put it before when I saw it years ago but I have a place for it now, it requires shade spot as it can not be in full sun. The trees in my backyard have grown HUGE so there's plenty of shade.... :)

I'm such a loser!!! I don't even deserve to be a gnome in your lovely garden, Mikey. Can't believe I showed up so late to this garden party. Your love and attention shows, your garden may be a work in progress but already enchanting. You must add wind bells. :)
