And by fighting fit I mean she is back to her previous bad behaviour of trying to burrow and nest in every nook and cranny and getting quite bitey and cranky when I don't let her!

HRH has authorised the below portrait to be released in commemoration, although I haven't had the heart to tell her what happened to the French aristos on the original Bastille Day.... "Let them eat cake!"

Today I found my old drawings which draw when was a child in primary school. I had a laugh when noticed purple crowned lorikeets [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I was thinking why two of them don't have the purple crown but read a discription that they are young ones. There were three PCL's (I love these three letters too!) But this one reminds me the most Lilly because of the flowers[emoji28]

See, you know all about Aussie botany as well as Aussie birdies! They are most definitely eucalyptus corymbia ficofolia flowers in your picture, otherwise known as the flowering eucalypt and they are Lilly's favourites! I'm waiting for a white version to come into flower in a few weeks, she loves those too and they flower for a few months so she will have a steady supply

Lilly Pilly's morning so far has consisted of her Fruit Compote Royale as prepared by her doting dadda, having her head scratched, and chasing Val and Fang out of her cage when they hop in the moment her back is turned to eat her food. All fairly typical!

Aaaaand wouldn’t you just know it, HRH offloaded another egg on Sunday night! I’ve ordered her some dummy eggs and a little nest to pop them in so hopefully she can work off some maternal yearnings on those!
