I am utterly exhausted, excited, in awe, ...just to name a few.
I was able to pick up Ripley today. They had him on a Java Tree, waiting for me, and he did NOT want to be bothered, as he was happily munching on a banana. After filling out all paperwork, handing over the $$, we packed up the brand new cage, and brought in the carrier. I walked over to Ripley, asked him to step up. He did, quite readily, as if he knew. I then placed him in the carrier - NO problem at all.
He didn't say a word on the hour drive home. Before bringing him in I put my somewhat hyper female dog outside, and then placed the carrier on the kitchen counter. Oscar, my AMBull came down, and when Ripley saw him he hollered "HI!"...feathers standing STRAIGHT up. He had NEVER seen a dog before, that was obvious.
I had already gotten his cage ready this morning, before I left, so I quickly took out Hunter, put some Mac toys in , filled food bowls and water and homecooked goodies, and put him in his cage.
THEN I had the pleasure of putting together the new cage (Sam will be using it) all by myself. 3 hours later, LOADS of sweat, some not so lady-like language....I'm all done.
But now, without ANY further delay...please let me introduce Ripley.
Now excuse me...while I run back downstairs and stare in sheer amazement.
