I just read your story on the Macaw story thread. I am so happy that you brought Ripley home. My heart went out to him since he was there for so long and was such a friendly bird. Last time I was there he was on a tree in the main room by the register. I'm surprised they put him back in a cage. I had spent a little time "volunteering" before the holidays with the two other greenwings, the poor things are cage bound and terrified to come out. I know the girls don't have time to spend socializing them so I am going to try to get back. Hopefully they will be able to find homes half as good as Ripley did!!
On another note, Rosie is AWESOME. She is actually sitting on my shoulder chatting as I type. She is getting bigger and her eyes are turning gold, so I guess she is starting to grow up. She wants me all to herself, she is not very good at sharing.

She has even waddled over and wiggled in between me and my dog when I was hugging him. Funny girl!!
Congrats again, he is a dream!! So happy for you!
I saw the other 2 GWs. A boy and a girl, I believe they are a 2010 hatch???? I did try and take them out, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have had a happy ending (for me).
I've seen Ripley SO many times. I've actually made it a point and visited at least every other week, just to get my GW fix, lol. James (the bald guy who works at BP) was a complete and utter mess, in TEARS when I took Ripley home. It kind of broke my heart, but I promised to keep them updated on him.
I'm so so happy to hear how much Rosie's grown, and what a love she is!!!
Perhaps next time I'll take a trip to Burlington, I'll let you know beforehand, and we could meet up again.
