Congo African Grey (Lulu)
I finally got my second grey, Bobbi. He is three months old and he is adorable. He says hi to you all :p:grey:
Sorry about the picture...

I'm trying to learn him to wear a harness and it is going fine. He will let me put it on but I don't think he is so comfortable with it. Any suggestions on how I can make it fun and comfortable for him? :)

I am doing the same for my bird. I think it just takes time for him to get used to wearing it. At least you have yours starting at a young age. Picasso is a challenge to get it on.

I think patience is the key with older birds Davinchi. Don't know if it is the same with Bobbi since he is so young :)

Thanks wenz :)

Thank you 008. They are very cool but also very demanding :)

Just give the harness time on him and be sure to give positive rewards so he knows good things will come with wearing the hardness. I'm sure you already know that so I'm not sure why it typed it. Look forward to seeing more pics!

Yeah, you gotta keep that intellect busy!

...I had the bird in mind when I typed that, but now I'm wondering...whose brain ends up keeping the most busy: the bird or the human?! Haha. :)

I've had him for four days today and he has been out three of them. The first time was only for 10 minutes, second time 15 minutes and today 20 minutes.. It's hard to train with positive reinforcement when he is so young. I don't know which treat he likes the most so I'm reinforcing with cuddles and praise :)

LOL :) I think it is mine.. It is hard when you always have to figure new ways you can challenge them on.. Buying foraging toys every time they solve what they already have can end up being quite expensive :p

Yeah...boy, that sounds so fun though! I'm a puzzle enthusiast, so trying to come up with new toys and puzzles for them would be awesome. I try with my conure, but she just won't have it. Prefers to mindlessly shred... Haha! I've always wanted a gray, but I'm not in the position to get one yet. Maybe someday...!

I would love to be as motivated as you when I have to come up with new toys and puzzles. I hate using my imagination... maybe because I don't have any haha :p
I hope you are able to get a grey someday because they are really adorable and very intelligent. The only downside I see in greys is that they can be very scared around strangers and new toys etc..:)
