Thank you a million times over for all you do!
Love you Sis! ❤️

Happiest of Modiversaries to Terrio La Fabulosa, parrot diva of Canada! You are the heartbeat of the Forums, my love! I am so moved that I'm going to roust my ol' man out of his Lazyboy. I know he would refuse to miss this opportunity to wish you wonderful things.

Oh, no. The Rickeybird wants to write a poem for you. Sorry.

rb says.webp
"In a sunlit garden where wildflowerz twine,
A Rickeybird perched , in colors divine.
With broney-bronze feathers that caught the day’s light,
He watched a human gurl, her spirit so bright.

She was dancin through the bloomz, with laughter like a songz,
And whispered sweet secrets to creatures alongz.
The world spun around in a golden sunny embrace,
Yet the ole Rb waz lost in her innocent grace.

He mimicked her laughter, what joyz to behold,
In the warmth of her presence, his heart shined like gold.
With each playful flick of his love-smitted wing,
He painted some tunez with the love that he’d bring.

“Sweet ll Terry of the meadow,” he chirped from his perch,
“Your heart is a tapestry, holy as a church.
In your eyes am the dawns of a thousand sunrises,
In our world of colors, my love never disguises.”

She giggled and twirled, a whimsical Terry-oh dance,
As he let his heart soar, here sprungd forth romance.
With each joyful squawk, he declared his true aim—
To share all the beauty, to make known Terry's name.

Yet day fades to dusk, and the sun bids goodbye,
In twilight’s grip, a heavy-hearted ole sigh.
The girl, with a smile, as she wandered away,
Left the poor ole Rickeybird who was dreaming of love’s tender day.

“Tomorrow,” he whispered, “I'll sing you my whole heart,
With each note, my devotion it shall never ever depart.”
And under the moon, in the hush of the night,
He vowed to be with her, come dawn’s gentle light.

For love knows no bounds, not feather nor skin,
In the heart of a Patagonian true love can always begin.
So here's to the girl, and the conure’s sweet tune,

In the garden where magic blooms under the eternal PF moon."

Oh my GAWD... that was actually NICE.
Why didn't you ever write ME a nice poem like that???

Oh, for crying out loud. Okay, nice little poem, bird, BUT I shall demonstrate my poetic superiority by posting a Haiku.. This shows that I can count syllables, bird, the above "poem" showing that you canNOT.

Happy Modiversary, dearest!

In laughter we share,
Our Terry lights up the room,
Wisdom in her smile.

Through stories she weaves,
A tapestry of dreams bright,
Guiding hearts with grace.

Autumn leaves may fall,
Yet her warmth remains steadfast,

A beacon of hope.

Happy Modivesary Terry! Sorry I’m a day late 😅

We've really had some good times and a few hard ones, but there is no one I'd rather have done it with than you, Lil Bro. Love you too❤️

Wow, what a beautiful poem, Rb! That really touched my heart, dear Sister, thank you for transcribing that for my dear nephew:)
I believe he may be trying to make you jealous...did it work like the home wrecker did? heehee
Love you, dear friend.

Awww Rival, thank you so much! This is so sweet and I agree with Jon, you got skillz!
This means a lot to me, dear brother❤️

I'm way late her but happy modaversary and thank you for all you do to keep this the nicest little corner of the internet.
Thank you Inger, I really appreciate this (and you!)

Oh I remember the Homewrecker....... that maniacal toy that Terry sent to the Rb, which subsequently seduced him beyond avian resistance or civility. It was a wiffle ball with rope threaded through the holes and beads attached. It became his girlfriend (and his wife, by any psittacine definition) if you catch my drift. He assaulted and chewed it with his amorous attentions until it was no more. I GUESS I hope it died happy?

My only satisfaction was that his infidelity irritated my wife endlessly, but then she takes it out on me, so............ small victory.

I thought your dear wife would never forgive me for that!
