In an attempt to take some decent photos to make myself a new signature, I went a little ballistic with the camera early this morning. :32:

Out of 50+ photos taken, these are worth sharing of Hunter & Sam. Of course I took plenty of the big guys, too, but will post them in the other section. ;)

Hunter is my nearly 15 year old YN hen, and Sam is my nearly 2 year old Magna boy, also known as Mr. Spitfire. Don't trust that angelic face, looks can be deceiving. :54: (NAH...I'm exaggerating here, Sam's a good boy - for the most part)

Angelic??? Whats he doing to that poor bear???

They are gorgeous! Everyone with an amazon on here keep making me want to go to the shelter and smuggle one of them out:)

Gorgeous birds! I never think "angelic" and "zon" in the same sentence :)

Victoria, wasn't there one at the rescue your mom said she was going to take home?

Hunter and Same are Gorgeous birds and both look so very healthy and happy! Sam still has that baby look, he's so cute (especially the photo of him on the counter). And hunter, well he's certainly living up to his name judging by the joy he has after having snuck up on the unsuspecting koala bear lol.

They are so beautiful!!! I don't know though, I would guess from the expressions on their faces they were plotting a day of mischief!

Is this a group effort to encourage Jen to smuggle a parrot out of the shelter? We're enablers. :(

I use the Koala as a prop, LMAO! Hunter "propped" him all right. She wanted NOTHING to do with him, and even threw him off the counter a few times. :D

Amazons are SO much fun! I'll be the last person to ever talk anyone out of one, on the contrary, I actually think you'll be a GREAT Amazon parront. :D

Thank you all so much for your kind words. They keep me on my toes, no doubt about that, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Oh boy, they're beautiful! I can't imagine why :54: but IMO there is no bird more handsome than a healthy, happy zon ;)

And they CAN be angelic, Thekarens! Depending on the weather...the time of month...the cycle of the moon...the way the sun filters through the curtains today...the mood of the spirit world...what is happening on Saturn... You know, just the normal stuff.. :54:

Beautiful... and I can smell that unique Zon scent almost! I love how rowdy these parrots can be, talk about a zest for life!

Actually there would two zons... I love Rosie, a male DYH, he is not super friendly, but not aggressive but so stinking funny. We put him up high and he provides me a narration on everything like play by play action :)

Then Victoria just became smitten with Paco, a silly blue front. He was so interested in her he followed her around and not even a hint of eye pinning.

When we move (spring plans), I will adopt Rosie, figure perfect for me, won't demand my attention much do Ivory won't whig out on me....

but do love all the enablers on this dang place!!

y

my future boy.... Rosie.... go ahead, start enabling....

Amazons are such a joy to be around! Of all our birds, my little Harley makes me laugh the most.

I love all your pictures, Wendy! You've definitely captured a piece of their wonderful personalities.

Wendy, Hunter & Sam are spectacular! And they do look quite angelic, but I think I could see a bit of a horn hiding under the feathers on Sam's head..lol.

@jenphilly - Rosie is gorgeous & definitely needs to join your flock!

That's actually the Nape, not the DYH. He's just playing...

The DYH would be the one with the headfeathers up and wings raised in that special "crazed amazon" way... :D

What a lovely pair! Is your Yellow Head a diva? Mine is. She wants to be the center of attention while my Blue Front wants to move things around and chew on them.

Jen, are you fully convinced? He's incredible, you must have have him, but then there is also Chyna.

Oh yes! I think guys can be divas, right? :20: In any case, Sam's my boy, and he truly wants to be the center of attention ALL the time. Heaven forbid if I ignore him. He's gone so far as to imitate my macs' scream. :30:

I was just assuming she was saying don't be fooled by the angelic faces of them both not just the one:)
