I had taken your advice and my Harlequin ate me ;-) LOL

You had some fear present I guarantee it lol... Yo weren't fully confident with him and he knew it? Now the thing is you should have acted like that bite meant nothing and went for it again and seen what his reaction would have been I bet it would have been impressive;)

No the one who bit me today was Sunny. He doesn't scare me LOL. Mac is next though!!

See if you aren't afraid of that scarlet hybrid why so much of the harlequin... Scarlets pack a worse bite IMO... Every scarlet or scarlet hybrid has had a nasty bite, harlequins are not bad at all in fact mine bit me last night and all I have is a bruise no blood at all:)

Thank you Gburchett :) They are a handful to say the least. JT that beak is so big that Im sure the bite can be dangerous and hes quick. With Sunny he moves slow so
i have time to move. With Mac he is fast and if he wants to grab me I probably wont get away LOL

I still say macs won't be bad... Scarlets have this different beak shape that seems to tear into me more so then a greenwing style beak.. Go for it you can do it!!! Lol, you haven't seen big beak until you've seen a wild caught hyacinth, I worked with a wild caught hyacinth and he got out one day before he was tamed and I could catch him without a towel so I went to restrain him to put him back without stressing him much and he got out... Crunched my finger he made me take a breathe and almost put me on the ground he was so powerful....

AWWwwwww!! Look at your bully puppy!!!!!!!! What's his name? We have a female, she is 7 months old now and is so talkative and OBSESSED with tennis balls.

I love all of your photos, my grandma used to breed macaws and she had 5 blue and golds who were her babies. I would love get a macaw someday. I just don't know which type!

Wow Mac is biiiiiiig!! Sunny is stunning!! Lola totally looks like a Lola, I want to sing the song now, "her name was loolaaaa, she was a showgirl!"

Waiting to get some new toys. As you can imagine they destroy them in two days :-( Their toys are 40-60 a pop. Sunnys toys are actually Macs left over last toy. Hopefully well be getting some new chewables next weekend. Ive been wanting to make some DIY toys but my handiness is lacking to say the least.

Dude some two by fours and a hand saw and drill, just cut them about 4-6 inches long drill a hole and string on chain... There's some for chewing wood. Take a card board box and cut it into 4x4 squares drill a hole and string it up easy shredding or you can hang small boxes with nuts in them. Gallon milk jugs on a chain with some nuts in them easy foragaging toys. Your old jeans cut int strips and hung on a plastic baby toy link as a preening toy, wicker reefs from the dollar store with fleece tied on it as a shredding, chewing, preening combo. There's justa few easy ones for ya don spend 40-60 dollars on toys if they are just out tot destroy let them destroy the easy cheap stuff! My big macaws don't really chew but the salmon crestd cockatoo does! So he doesnt get amazingly nice wood toys all the time he gets two by four cut up:p.

Very cool ideas JT :) Harlow also likes metal chains ,bells and hard plastic toys besides the wood ones [might last longer] :)

Haha with 7 macaws you need to be creative;), yea my macs love making noise so I ave bells in all there cages and plenty of things for them to bang around and make a ruckus!
