I was looking into a white on (I don't know much about albino birds...but it didn't have red eyes...are albino birds like that?), is there any thing different about their cere?

Not albino :)
Df spangle or dark eyed clear. Probably df spangle.
Actual albino males have pink ceres their entire lives. Females are normal.
I think ( not completely sure ) that df spangles have normal ceres, not sure about dark eyed clear.

He/she was totally white (at least how I remember), he/she had some black specks

I don't remember all the proper names for all the color variation. But a lot of pieds have pink cere. Mainly the solid colored males have the deep blue cere. So the way to really tell is by the nostrils....

I asked some questions that I don't think got answer. If they did, I'm really sorry.

How social are they?
How smart are they?
And I understand they can bond, but how well? As well as larger birds?

Thanks!

1- They are very social if you teach them to trust you. They'll love you and puke on you so much you'll get sick of it. :p Towards other birds, they can be social (I've had one budgie try to seduce my female kakariki) but it's risky. Remember they're small birds. If the other bird is bigger, your budgie will not stand a chance in a good fight. Even if it tries to win.

2- Extremely smart. They are afterall little parrots. And it shows that the brain size doesn't matter much. YouTube - snoogly's Channel See this youtube user's video, he has a budgie named Sven that I just LOVE. They'll talk and play and learn tricks really well.

3- They can bond with you as well as any other parrot. Size doesn't matter. :)

Mind you in budgies I find it easier to have males. Females will usually not talk (I've seen it but they're usually not interested.), they can be extremely bossy, territorial and bitey. But frankly? My favorite budgie was my female, the one I had first. Just because I loved her independant nature. I was her chewtoy and I lived up to the cause. :)

Always buy just one budgie first EXACTLY because of how social they are with other budgies. Otherwise you'll have a hard time teaching them to trust you. After you got one tamed to the point you want (after a year I'd say), get another budgie and normally the first one should teach trust to the second one. Like "Come on, the human's fine to play with!"

Oh another great budgie example I forgot: Charlie the Talking Budgie. He talked. A lot. He's an english budgie, which is the same thing as a regular budgie but a head taller, and fluffier. They're bred for show and costlier. It's said that they are a bit more calm and patient and learn things better, but like the Sven I showed you, you can see you can do just as much with a regular budgerigar.

Overall, budgies are great birds. They're silly, energetic, and loves you a lot when you got their trust ~<3 I adore budgies.

I answered that for you on your other post. They're very social birds and very smart as well!!!! They're colony birds so socializing is their thing!!!

ive always read budgies are the best parrots for talking.... maybe not for clarity but for what they CAN say. after seeing those videos, i believe it! budgies are great birds. you wont regret getting one!

another part I like about them is their price! Sure, the vet care will cost just as much but it's still just 20 bucks to start! Considering how amazing they are I think they're the best value.

And they're so small, it's like a pocket parrot. :)

Irissama, how is that crazy kakariki of yours?

I rescued my parakeets from outside during winter....they were cold and starving....they're cute little birds!!!! They're such little clowns, the things they do makes me laugh....

Pixel's doing great. Her toe never healed even with the bandage, but at least we tried and it helped remove the inflammation. I bought her a new bigger cage... WITH TRAYS. Right now therE's no paper at the bottom or anything, I just clean them a lot. But I ordered a custom made grid for the bottom. Somehow there wasn't any coming with the cage. But the pins for it are there.

It'll be a good couple inches above the trays. I can't possibly see how she's gonna grab the paper now!

Haha....She'll show you how she's gonna try to accomplish it...lol

Well I can tell you one thing she managed to accomplish that will give me new headaches...

The one I owned before did the same....and those seed guard netting didnt work for her cause she hates it....she would chew holes or yank them down. She was not tamed when I got her, but she was extremely easy to tame...didn't take no time for me to tame her cause I think she sees me as her mate. I still miss her....one of the sweetest birds I've ever owned...

I never put a seed guard around the cages. It's no use really since we put seeds in the bottom of their big playgym. So we have to vaccuum around all the time anyway. :p

I know how you feel Mikey, sometimes I still find myself really sad that I lost my Bud. She was really a special budgie. I love Pixel and all, but she will never be on the same level as Bud. Bud was territorial, had a big temper and was quite obviously the leader of the flock. That's what I loved about her and we had some sort of a mutual respect relationship really. I miss having her sitting on my DS watching me play games or just snore there. She sorta came up as some wisened up matron, wherehas Pixel comes off as some hyperactive 2 years old.

I never had to police the budgies like I do now. It used to be her job.
