At a loss to find a good corn/soy free pellet that works! :(

They put crap like this in rabbit pellets too. Stuff they would never eat in the wild.
I actually found a rabbit pellets that are 100% Timothy. I order them through Amazon

Soy is in everything because it's a cheap protein. I think the corn is probably added as a binder. I wonder if enough people contact the company maybe they would consider a soy/corn free option.

I would imagine that as long as you get a breakdown of required nutrients you could make a chop. Keeping in mind that you source things like calcium from a bird friendly source.

I read somewhere that BT pellets are just rebranded Tops i believe it was,
I just looked up Tops pellet ingredients and they're identical. I don't know about those bird tricks people. Rebranding and making it sound like it's THEIRS? Tops must let them, which makes me wonder about them, too. Well. We're too smart to fall for Bird Tricks like THAT!

I found this website that's very helpful. Also I forgot to mention that I add nutritional yeast and spirulina to my chop. My bird loves nutritional yeast and it adds a lovely nutty buttery taste to make her greens more palatable.

This is a great resource page! I have been trying to convert a budgie from an all seed diet to a complete diet for nearly two months and I'm happy to have a written list. The advantage of this method is that it's all good human food so no need to buy too much extra that isn't already in the house. I've also noticed eating with him makes a big difference.
