Anyone sprout at home?

I want to start sprouting greens for my babies and my question is which are the most popular with your parrots? Where do you buy? I just watched some youtube videos on how to do it, so at least I know how to get started.

I always have sprouts going. Check out the website "Sprout people" excellent products and really great info and video, even better than YouTube imo. There are seed mixes I sprout as well as beans. My local Whole Foods carries many types of organic fresh beans. I soak them over night then drain and start the sprouting process. I use the kit called "Easy Sprouter" from sprout people website.

FYI...I get no promotional pricing or kick backs from Sprout People just a big fan of the freshness of their products and sprouting items.

I have yet to try it, but I just picked up a bag of Abba soak. It is a blended seed mix.

Ingredients: Thistle seed, Rape Seed, Canary grass Seed, Wheat, Buckwheat, , Millet Seed, Safflower Seed, red milo, yellow milo, Non-Viable Hemp Seed, Mung Beans, Lettuce, Seed, Cracked Corn, Salt, Potassium Iodide, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Manganous Oxide, Ferrous Carbonate, Mineral Oil, Iron Oxide, Copper Oxide, Calcium Periodate, Cobalt Carbonate, Calcium Propionate.

Lol yes, I find sprouting the appropriate high quality seed mix to be an easy way to make sure your bird is getting a good variety. I also often sprout typical bird seeds separately, as well as other things like chick peas, quinoa, mung beans, lentils, etc. I try to buy organic when I can, and always human grade if it is something humans eat (pretty hard to find human grade safflower seeds lol)
