Oh he's been warned about that overgrowth covering his face. He asked me if I had never heard of "No shave November?" My response was: "Honey, today it's DECEMBER 6th...and it's coming OFF."

Oh yes, the Jiggly Puff it was ----- ALL afternoon long! :30: ...and a little bit of "Don't worry, be happy."

Yes, I'm VERY fortunate. Both my Amazons are cuddlebugs, but only Hunter is totally into all of us, especially Mark.

Sam snuggles JUST like her, but only with me - so far. He actually can't get enough lovin'.

Niko snuggles, but he's got to be in the mood for it. AND he snuggles with everyone IF he's in a good state of mind....otherwise only me. And even I have to be careful sometimes, because Niko is not ALWAYS in the cuddlebug mode.

Wait...did you really say you like the hipster look? FAINT! :11: If it ain't gone in the morning, I'll be shaving it myself. :20:

Those are awesome photos! And you weren't kidding! Makes me really happy to see photos like that of amazons! Especially with the disposition of many zons and how they aren't cuddly, difficult to handle, etc! And to see your handsome son handling Hunter like that is simply amazing! I love it!

I may have to resort to drastic measures before he leaves to go back to school on Sunday, Richard! I've got DRAWERS full of fresh, sharp razors...but whether he will use one of them remains to be seen.

Hunter is a girl. But I've got a male DYH who is even MORE cuddly than her, believe it or not. Not yet with all of us, but with me he's a fluffy teddy bear who can't get enough hands on touching.

You must be SO excited about your upcoming Amazon! What type are you getting? How old? Boy or girl (if you know)??

Amazons have a VERY special place in my heart. Always have and always will.

One of my favorite photos of an amazon was a YN (if I recall the species) laying on his back in the crook of his owners arm on the couch! Now, the human didn't have his face in the pic, but to see an amazon like that, I thought it was truly amazing!

The first time I saw an active and playful amazon was one at a pet store in Florida. I don't recall if the zon was a blue front or another species, but it was actually a small zon that had a plastic toy zebra! She was all over that tiny little toy, playing with while rolling onto her side and on her back with the toy between her feet as she tried biting at it! It was so freakin adorable!


I think there needs to be an "Amazon Alliance" of owners with cuddly zons! Get all of you guys together to show the world just how great these birds can be!
