Just picked up my first Quaker boy!

Hi! I'm a new quaker owner, I've been around them before but never owned one. I just picked up my 2 year old boy today from a home that said he was having aggression issues, so far I'm not seeing that but they weren't home much and think that was his issue. So far we seem to be hitting it off! He just won't go in his cage, wants to be with me. Hopefully by bedtime he'll be ready to go back in. Lol

Lovely bird! Quakers can be very specific about who they like, so it looks like maybe he’s picked you as his person!

Thank you all! So far we are really enjoying having him, I have learning to do though as he is very clingy to my husband and I, but doesn't seem to like my children as much, he doesn't attack them or anything just doesn't want them to be near him. I'm sure with time he'll be a bit better with them. Also he HATES perches outside his cage, doesn't like his play stand either. Is there a way to teach him to like them? If I try to place him on one he screams and flies away. Maybe some target training would help? I'm planning to look up some youtube videos for training so if anyone has any suggestions on someone to watch in particular I'd greatly appreciate it!
