Neptune my brave beautiful bold blue Quaker flew out the front door a week agonizing

I couldn’t eat or sleep for three days I never left off looking till my body forced me to take a few min break

I’ve posted in parrot 911, next door app, Facebook, what’s up, called all shelters vets pet stores

And I’ve been outside sun up to sundown going through the neighborhood over and over and over . I posted my other birds outside with my mom to watch while I looked. Many people have said they will put out bird feeders and red chili peppers

My best friend sent me a mega phone and I’m useing that to call him back

I love each and every parrot they special and unique. But as many of you know Neptune was that big kind of love you only have a few times in your life .

Prayers for Neptune sAfe return

Oh NO! Laura, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this. I know what you mean about "the one in a lifetime one." For me, that was my Patches. You love them all, but that special one, it's something on a whole different level. Don't give up, my friend. Sending my most heartfelt prayers for his safe return.

Laura I am devastated for you, I know how heartbroken you must be over this, I'm so sorry! Surely you will get him back, you HAVE to get him back! Do take care of yourself while you search though, Neptune needs you to stay strong while you search for him.

Sending all my love and big feathered hugs to you Laura, NEPTUNE PLEASE COME HOME!

The sunrise was in my eyes so I didn’t see ever he went.
But a tip for all to read because you will be in a panic when this happens . Listen fir the wild birds giving your baby hell. The mocking birds came to a tree I was looking under and started up a taker we couldn’t see him in the tree , but I now know he was there. Instead after we all looked in tree ( it was a little crepe myrtle ) I wanted to get in the back yard because I thought he flew there . But I should have stayed with he tree. The mocking birds must have chased him off while I was in the backyard of my neighbors house.

Even though I spent hours all
Around that tre and did spiral out and did over and over till sunset and then again at sunrise to Sunrise and then again every day since we have not seen him ......

There are so many hawks.....there was one in the yard behind the house he flew to, there has been one in every street in the neighborhood as I look, we had an explosion of squirrels and now we have so many hawks

Makes me puke to think of

Makes it hard to call him when I see a hawk thirty feet away

I have a cage out front and in my backyard I’m hopeful he is laying low and working his way back to me

The hurt is unbearably, I jerk awake all night long and the guilt is crushing

Oh, my dear darling friend...
There's nothing I can do but hope and pray and send my positive energy to you, and to Neptune, too.
By sharing, you have made us all a little more vigilant and a little more grateful for the presence and safety of our fids.
Thank you.

Oh Jeez! I know exactly how you feel - I lost my very first parrot like that. You know what we tell folks ion here - keep looking! Flown away parrots sometimes are found weeks even months later. Try to not kick your self, this can happen with any flighted parrot.

This is a sad post. I really hope you find your baby.

The parrot 911 team told me not to give up. That Quaker’s are smart survivors. They have some instinct about hawks, I know my green cheek Tadah screams alarm calls when she sees them out the window

I just don’t know how Neptune can get home, there is a hawk that is in my back yard or one if my neighbors every day! There is a falcon over my front road every day! Then there is the mocking birds gauntlet!!

When I walk around I’m afraid to call for him sometimes because I keep seeing hawks

And Neptune is my only parrot that has never gone to another person, even when my family visited for ten days and all the other birds went to them he would not. I’ve begged all my neighbors to be spotters so if they see him I can go there.

Fir those who pray, please please pray a protection bubble around him

My family like many other here have not been that supportive, or even offer me kind words ( sob)

Oh Laura, I’m so sorry! Praying for a quick recovery of your sweet Neptune!

You’d be surprised what an escaped bird might do in extreme circumstances, he might just land on someone for safety if he feels threatened. And yes I think quakers have a bit more street-smarts than many. Don’t give up!

They must be good at surviving in the US because many have.
I really hope you find him.

I’m so sorry that Neptune got out - please don’t lose hope, we’re all praying for his safe return. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help. Hugs from the other coast.

Oh Laura, I'm so sorry! Sending prayers that Neptune comes home to you soon.
